Another Clue
Fox News reports that an Obama energy advisor told reporters that Barack Obama thinks the U.S. should tap the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to alleviate high gas prices.
If this doesn’t give you a clue about this mans willingness to say anything to get elected, probably nothing will. Those reserves are for war. The next war is going to shut off the supply of oil and we all know it. Draining them for a temporary and very slight reduction in the price of a gallon of gas would put us at huge risk because that’s the oil that’s going to run our ships and airplanes when there’s none available anywhere else.
The Reserve isn’t like a reservoir of water that can be drained to fill peoples swimming pools because it’s a rainy year anyway. We use imported oil as fast as it comes in along with the oil we still produce from our own dwindling wells.
Wiping out the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to knock a penny or two off the price of gas for a short period is pretty much the dumbest idea he’s come up with yet but if you think it’s a good idea, though, you should vote for him. Trust me, if he wins you’ll deserve what you get.
There’s going to be another world war, the prospects for peace are bad now and getting worse with time and the continued proliferation of nuclear weapons…. A-Bombs. Without a reserve of oil on hand, we’re like the fabled king whose kingdom was lost for want of a nail to shoe his horse. He couldn’t lead his troops into battle.
If you took the battery out of your remote, you couldn’t turn on your TV set anymore. If you take away our Reserve, we can’t defend our country from attack. Everything has to run on something, and Obama is running on pure Hot Air. Take a good look.

Entirely agree, that is really dumb.
At least the US is lucky to have has some sort of reserve, thanks to our money-wasting under-investing short termist governments the UK has next to none. They seem to think we can just purchase it from the more foresighted Germans, French or Dutch. No chance in a real emergency.

This is shocking and very alarming for America and potentially us Britain as just like xoggoth says we have practically fuck all saved.
Obama seems to gambling with othe people money and lives and those who do vote for him may as well play russian roulette.

Hope that comment only applies to photos, I am a bit suspicious of Yanks who own remote cabins deep in the woods. It is a well known fact that over 15% of Americans are serial killers. I bet you have a chainsaw too.
