Today’s The Day

Obama the pig
You can put lipstick on Obama, but he’s still a pig.

Today is the day we find out if human civilization is going to crash down on top of us, or go on as usual. Yeah, I sound like some way-out-there alarmist, but I’m looking to both reality and the future, and I’m far from being alone on this. With this man at the helm of the worlds most powerful nation, and with his political party full of Far Left socialists, marxists, Afro-centrists, ad nauseum, behind him, Americas role in the world will be rapidly and drastically changed.

Sudden changes in world politics and affairs will upset apple carts everywhere. All the efforts to keep the global economy from drowning will fail, all the carefully crafted alliances and accords between nations will fall apart, long-awaited opportunities to attack and conquer neighbors will be seen and swiftly acted upon which will lead to wider and wider conflicts… This is what I see happening with this creature in power.

This is totally tongue in cheek, but has anyone noticed that there are 18 letters in his name? Three times six is eighteen. I know, but I just had to throw that one in there for the Believers.
Go to the polls today, vote wisely, vote well, and if you can get away with it, vote often. Why not? They’re doing it.

UPDATE: His poor aunt! What a jerk this guy is! She came over here from Kenya 4 years ago, yet he claims to have only seen her once, two years ago, during all this time, and she lives in poverty and has overstayed her visa, while this stingy rich prick hasn’t given her a dime nor any help. Just the opposite, she’s sent him money, $260 total, a little at a time, for his campaign.

This is the same woman who ran up and kissed him on both cheeks when he went to Kenya. She was the first person to greet him there, and this is how he treats her. Now he says “No help from me, deport her!”. What a warm, feeling, human being, huh? His own aunt, who loves him. Read the story, she attended Mr Obama’s swearing-in to the US Senate in 2004 and “Obama had last heard from her about two years ago when she called saying she was in Boston, but he did not see her there.” I guess going to that neighborhood of Boston was beneath this scumbags dignity.

Family means nothing to Obama, especially poor, black family. Especially female members from Kenya when you have Muslim attitudes toward women, which is really why he refused to take on Hillary as his V.P. running mate.

It’s striking that even though Obama has twice the money of McCain, he and McCain are running an extremely close race. In our presidential elections, the most money is what usually wins, and Obama has had $millions pour in from illegal foreign, Islamic, contributors, all under the $200 reporting limit, which means that he doesn’t have to reveal the names of any of the contributors. Considering that so many have names like ;lk; and qklqr, and of course op8′;l, revealing all those names could prove embarassing. John McCain, on the other hand, has revealed the names of ALL contributors to his campaign and none of them are k;[pi, qad;alj or vqe3r.

The L.A. Times has a tape of Obama celebrating with his good friend Rashid Khalidi, another Muslim terrorist type, and they refuse to release it.

McCain reveals anything that’s asked of him. Obama hides everything about himself. Who should we trust? Such a hard question. At least it seems to be, with so many people slavering at the mouth to run and vote for the Muslim. Even Google is openly promoting Obama. So much for their motto “Do no evil”.

Rupert Murdoch, the Australian billionaire who’s bought up most of the worlds MSM, is behind Obama and this is why so many newspapers and cable stations are so one-sided in their favorable reporting of Obama. Murdoch owns them all. Why he supports this miserable two-faced liar is a mystery, and he’s not telling.

Personally, I think the old bastard just wants to have the glory of getting a president elected before he dies. OR it’s possible that he just wants to screw the world up as much as possible. At 77, with truly vast wealth, you’d think this guy would be out having the time of his life, but no, he’s totally obsessed with gaining more wealth and more wealth, more power, more power, and getting that horrible man elected would certainly give him something to gloat about.

So here we are, with only  day to go before we find out if the world gets a reprieve or if the Islamic onslaught will turn our planet upside down.

I never really concerned myself much about who was president, before. I was for Al Gore against George Bush, and history has proven me right on that, in spades, but even then I didn’t consider the choice of candidates to be particularly vital. It’s vital now. It’s more vital than any other election in the history of America or the world.

Philosophy and Curses

Monday, October 27th, 2008

There’s an ancient Chinese curse, “May you live in interesting times”. Because when the world is at peace, nothing is happening and so, things don’t get “interesting” the way they are now.

If I were 21 again and looking at the world and my doubtful future in it, I’d probably be heading for Canada. As it is, I’m in the autumn of my life and no longer worry about my future, so I find things to be very interesting. Mostly, though, I marvel at the collective stupidity of such a large portion of humanity. We may be at the top of the food chain but considering the intelligence of the creatures below us, that’s really saying very, very little.

If Obama fails to be elected our president it will only be because of some sort of lucky break, since I don’t believe in Divine Intervention, but even so, the next election is only another 4 years away. No nation endures forever, nor does any government. Considering the turnover in all the nations of this Earth just in the past 50 years, America has had a good long run, 232 years so far.

Is it nations that matter, really? Nations are why we have wars. Every single nation wants to dominate it’s neighbors. The world reminds me of football games. The football season never really ends, there’s always a game going on somewhere, people clobbering the crap out of each other and calling it fun.

We love war, fighting, dominating each other. We hate to be losers but we love to be winners and we’re always willing to take the chance that we’ll be on the winning team instead of getting our asses handed to us at best or being brutally wiped out at worst.

Humans are stupid. We get all puffed up over abortion and when does a human actually become a human (when sperm meets egg VS at birth, etc.) and act like human life is sacred at the same time we gleefully slaughter each other in the hope of being on the winning, dominating, territory-conquering side.

When one human kills another, it’s murder. When we all start killing each other, it’s war and that’s sanctioned by all the peoples of the world as being guiltless. Then at the end of it, the winners get to put the losers on trial and hang them. The Romans nailed them to posts set in the ground. What power. What fun. It’s great to be a winner.

I think Obama is a Muslim. There’s a huge body of evidence pointing that way, and I think he intends to hand America over to the Islamists. I think they’ve trained him and bankrolled him and if he wins the presidency, which looks likely, there’s going to be some real ugly changes in America.

It’s going to get really interesting.

Iran Plans Pre-emptive Strike Against Israel

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

Top Iran officials recommend preemptive strike against Israel,
By Barak Ravid, Haaretz Correspondent

Senior Tehran officials are recommending a preemptive strike against Israel to prevent an Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear reactors, a senior Islamic Republic official told foreign diplomats two weeks ago in London.

The official, Dr. Seyed G. Safavi, said recent threats by Israeli authorities strengthened this position, but that as of yet, a preemptive strike has not been integrated into Iranian policy.

Safavi said a small, experienced group of officials is lobbying for a preemptive strike against Israel. “The recent Israeli declarations and harsh rhetoric on a strike against Iran put ammunition in these individuals’ hands,” he said. Safavi is head of the Research Institute of Strategic Studies in Tehran, and an adviser to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. The institute is directly affiliated with Khamenei’s office and with the Revolutionary Guards, and advises both on foreign policy issues. In other words, he has a lot of clout in Iran’s government.

Then there’s this story from American Congress for Truth, about the Iranian cargo ship, MV Iran Deyanat. “She was an enormous floating dirty bomb, intended to detonate after exiting the Suez Canal at the eastern end of the Mediterranean and in proximity to the coastal cities of Israel. The entire cargo of radioactive sand, obtained by Iran from China”… was to have been blown up high into the atmosphere, carried across Israel and would have poisoned and killed most of the population. The idea is that this was to be THE pre-emptive strike against Israel.

Before this could happen, however, and while the ship was passing the coast of Somalia, it was hijacked by Somalian pirates, as often happens now, and held for ransom.

The pirates were anxious to see what was in the sealed cargo holds and broke into one, finding only many tons of packets of what appeared to be sand, “and all developed strange health complications, to include serious skin burns and loss of hair. And within two weeks, sixteen of the pirates subsequently died, either on the ship or on shore.” “At this writing, the MV Iran Deyanat is at anchor, watched closely by American, French and Russian naval units.”

According to this story, our Navy is under orders to sieze and inspect this vessel and its cargo when it puts out to sea once again.

ACT provides no author or source for this story and gives only this link which establishes the actual existence of the ship and it’s capture by pirates. The “official story” is that it’s loaded with 42,500 tons of “minerals and industrial products.”

This can’t last. We all know it can’t. Israel and Iran are going to go at it. It’s just a matter of when.

Joe (The Mouth) Biden Is Right

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Joe Biden had this to say yesterday about his running mate, Barack Obama: “Mark my words: It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy,” Biden told the crowd. “The world is looking. We’re about to elect a brilliant 47-year-old senator president of the United States of America. Watch, we’re going to have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy.”
“He’s going to have to make some really tough - I don’t know what the decision’s going to be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents,
I guarantee you it’s going to happen,”
he said. Biden has long been known for running his mouth. He’s a true Gaffe-Master. That doesn’t mean that his blurts are erroneous, though, in fact often he’s quite right. It’s just that he should have kept his mouth shut.

This is one of those cases, because in fact, the world does perceive Obama as being weak. Unlike American Liberals, who are intent on putting a black man into office regardless of his lack of qualifications, the leaders of other nations are neither so inclined or particularly enamored of this man, and they see him for what he is, a first-term senator who hasn’t even completed that first term. A speech-maker without experience, a compromiser who changes his story with every change of the wind.

If Obama becomes president, he will indeed be tested and it won’t take 6 months. The onslaught of manufactured crises demanding his attention will overwhelm him, which will, of course, be their purpose, and I’ve no doubt at all that plans are in the works to trip him into making serious errors that will weaken America. Just like Jimmy Carter did to us in Iran.

Now the Biden camp is trying to spin their way out of his very frank remarks, but he’s right. It’s a truth laid bare.

This may seem a side issue to the above, but has anyone given thought to the fact that not only does Joe Biden constantly say the wrong thing, but that he also has pretty consistenly voted the wrong way on just about every issue. By “wrong way”, I mean that he usually votes with the losing minority. Joe Biden, for all that he keeps getting re-elected, is a consistent loser on the issues, and if he had to take over the presidency, we’d be almost as bad off as we will be with Obama. At least Palin has some years of high executive experience in governing, is a popular governor, and she isn’t a Gaffe-Master.

And What Are YOU, Mr. Powell?

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Colin Powell, whom I formerly admired until he endorsed Obama, has also come out for Islam.

Yesterday, Sunday, October 19th, he said: “I’m also troubled by, not what Senator McCain says, but what members of the party say, and it is permitted to be said. Such things as ‘Well you know that Mr. Obama is a Muslim.’ Well the correct answer is ‘He is not a Muslim, he’s a Christian, he’s always been a Christian.’ But the really right answer is ‘What if he is? Is there something wrong with being a Muslim in this country?’ The answer is ‘No. That’s not America.’ Is there something wrong with some 7-year old Muslim-American kid believing that he or she can be president? Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion he’s a Muslim and he might be associated with terrorists. This is not the way we should be doing it in America.”

Let’s review this. #1, Barack Obama was not “always a Christian”. His father was a Muslim and his mother was an Athiest. How could he have possibly been raised as a Christian? That’s a lie, Mr. Powell. Muslims never allow their children to be taught even a hint of Christianity. They hate Christianity.

The facts are thoroughly documented that he didn’t claim to be a Christian until he was supposedly converted to Christianity by “Rev.” Wright, formerly, so he claims, a Muslim himself and current hater of America and White people, and a dear friend of Louis Farrakhan, infamous Black Muslim and Jew hater.

#2, Mr. Powell, which you as an Army general know perfectly well, is that Islam and terrorism go hand in hand. Terrorism is basic to Islam, why else would Obama think nothing of having a terrorist as a friend, and even be attracted to such a person? I’m talking about Bill Ayers here, whose long-term association with Barack is coming more and more to light, along with Baracks stream of gross cover-up lies.

How should we be doing it in America, Mr. Powell? Open our doors to Islam? Lay down and become slaves to a death cult?

This is a valid case of guilt by association. Bill Ayers, Wright, Raila Odinga, Rezko, all radicals and two of them convicted felons, 3 of the 4 are murderers and all 4 are close associates and inner-circle friends of Barack Hussein Obama. I don’t have friends like that and I never have and would never consider having friends like that. Would you? Would you associate with convicted terrorists, make real estate deals that you know are shady with someone like Rezko? Would you hang out at a church where the minister shouted “God damn America” and preached Africa First? FOR TWENTY YEARS?

Mr. Powell, now I understand why you were pulled out of the Iraq conflict. I wondered about that, you being such a supposedly great general and all. At the time, what we were fed by the press was that you simply disagreed with the way the war was being conducted but now I see that it was really an attitude problem. In favor of Islam. Mr. Powell, the only people who are supportive of the death cult of Islam in America, after our 9/11 wake-up call, are the Liberal Left. The rest of us don’t like Islam, and we shouldn’t.

With your endorsement of Obama and your declaration of love and tolerance for Islam, you’ve just chosen the side of Americas enemies.

You sorry, stupid, racist jerk.

“Yet I have heard senior members of my own party drop the suggestion he’s a Muslim and he might be associated with terrorists.”

WOW! Hey, why don’t we hear that from the MSM? You mean to say that prominent Republicans believe him to be a Muslim? People who have far more access to restricted information than the general public, believe that he’s a Muslim?

I guess I should thank you for that little slip, Powell. Now I just hope everyone else catches it, too, before voting day.

The Fat Face of Fanaticism

Bloated evil

Thousands of Iraqi Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr’s followers rallied in the streets of Baghdad to protest a planned U.S.-Iraqi security agreement to extend the presence of American forces in Iraq. They chanted anti-U.S. slogans and burned effigies of President George Bush and U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

This guy has been an impediment to finishing the job ever since he first formed his little army of rag-tags and I fail to understand why we haven’t taken him out. He’s just one more terrorist pretending to be a holy man. Every move he’s made has been to gain more power and attention for himself at the expense of everyone around him, and anything that promotes that is fine with him, no matter how many innocent children are killed in the process…. and there’s been quite a few. His constant manipulations of the various fighting forces along with the depredations of his own militia have resulted in thousands of deaths. Now I think it should be his turn.

This scum is the epitome of basic Islamic behavior. He uses every last bit of evil he can fillet out of the Koran to justify his horrors. He feeds on the wretched flesh of the confused people around him and he needs to be squashed like the carrion-eating dung beetle that he is.

Remember… You Heard It Here First.

Socialism, Wikipedia: “Socialism refers to a broad set of economic theories of social organization advocating  state or collective ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods, and the creation of an egalitarian society. Modern socialism originated in the late nineteenth-century working class political movement. Karl Marx posited that socialism would be achieved via class struggle and a proletarian revolution which represents the transitional stage between capitalism and communism.

“Socialists mainly share the belief that capitalism unfairly concentrates power and wealth among a small segment of society that controls capital, and creates an unequal society. All socialists advocate the creation of an egalitarian society, in which wealth and power are distributed more evenly, although there is considerable disagreement among socialists over how, and to what extent this could be achieved.”

All the major banks of the world are coming under control of their governments as their governments follow the U.S. lead in bailing them out, and assuming control of them when doing so.

Telegraph.co.uk: “The US Treasury will buy $250 billion of shares in nine major banks, from the $700 billion it was handed by Congress, to help them start loaning money again and end the credit freeze that has brought the economy to a standstill. Wall Street markets initially rallied on the back of the announcement but critics in business and Congress saw the move as another nail in the coffin of American free market capitalism.”

“Gordon Brown has called for the most ambitious reform of the world economic order since the Second World War in order to prevent a repeat of the current global financial crisis. The Prime Minister wants dozens of world leaders to meet for a major one-off summit where they would rewrite the rules of international capitalism that have stood since 1944.

The world is going Socialist. This looks very much like part of the plan to establish the New World Order that we’ve been hearing about from our “leaders”, so-called, for years now.

The announced purpose of this now global bailout is to support the banking system until it can pay off its collective debts to the various governments and become independent again. I’m saying here and now that this will never happen. The banks will never again become independent and you will see all the smaller banks being bought up or otherwise absorbed by the larger ones as time goes by.

When governments control their banks, they control all other sectors of their societies, as everything hangs on credit and it’s the banks that control credit, for buyers and sellers of literally everything and for the manufacture of goods. For research and exploration. For education. Everything. The world runs on money.

Barack Obama wants to redistribute the wealth ala Robin Hood, and made the following statement: “It’s not that I want to punish your success; I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you that they’ve got a chance to success, too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”

Obama is the most Leftist of his party and espouses socialist views.

Keep in mind that Socialism IS NOT Democracy. Socialism is hostile to Democracy, in that Socialism is government control of wealth, jobs and social standing, and is only one short step away from Communism. The governments of the world, not just those of the United States and Great Britain, but the world, those which are not already Socialist or Communist, are now turning to Socialism, and the next step is a joining of nations under one political philosophy that has total domination of the populace as its goal.

This is an historical moment. We’re seeing, right now, the birth of global dictatorship.

Doomsayers And Knee-Jerk Reactions

Monday, October 13th, 2008

COMMODITIES NOT DONE SLIDING, The headlines scream. “The record 39% decline in commodities since July 3 is nowhere near finished, if history is any guide.” (”Commodities,” for those who don’t pay much attention to this stuff, means the  prices for things like oil, soybeans, corn, iron, copper and so forth.)

While other headlines proclaim “Days of falling prices are over, say economists.”

Anything for a headline. If you listen to all the newscasters, they all pretend to know what the future is, but they don’t. No one does. What we do know is Human Nature, and History. When our Dear Leader, George Bush, got on the tube and told the world that The Sky Is Falling, The Sky Is Falling, for all that no one believes this liar anymore, we were all alarmed anyway, wondering what he was really up to.

We quickly found out that his ploy (we all knew it was a ploy) was to try to fool us into bailing out all his rich buddies. It turned out that we did anyway, sort of, except that his rich buddies have to pay us back now. Under Bush’s plan, they didn’t. In the meantime, the sky is still staying up just fine, thanks.

The newscasters are still bleating that the world’s economies are “not responding” and so forth, and it’s very true that an awful lot of us are still scared, thanks to them. A good friend of mine is pretty upset about seeing his 401K’s plunging in value. That’s his only retirement. So our knee-jerk reaction is to stop spending our money quite so freely, to hold off on buying major items like homes and new cars, to stop investing part of our income, and to stash our money at home instead of in a bank. All this only adds to the problem that the bankers themselves created by lending far more money than they actually had in deposits, by getting other banks (which had done the same thing) to back them up, on unsound loans to people without sufficient income who were buying properties they couldn’t afford because the banks convinced them to do so.

What’s happening now is that global finances are readjusting and already leveling out. Oil has come back down to fully half of the outrageous $143 a barrel high of last summer, as it needed to. The soaring price of oil has a lot to do with the collapse of commodity prices, as it artificially inflated them to begin with.

As the days pass and people keep making their loan payments, keep eating at the dinner table and watching the games on Sunday TV, all the panic will fade away. Already, lower prices are freeing up a larger percentage of wages, and that increase in spendable income will renew confidence in the economy, and people will soon start spending and banks will soon start loaning, once again. I’m seeing the price of gas at the pump come down already, (though not as fast or as much as oil has come down) which certainly puts a smile on motorists faces.

History teaches us that everything cycles. Economies always go through good times and bad times. I noticed years back while driving north from the Bay area that traffic had what I called “density waves” and pointed this out to a passenger friend. It’s true. Someone up there will be going slow in the fast lane, and cars pile up behind him until he finally moves over and we can all get by, until we come to the next one, and the next one. Well, economies are the very same. We get people who are slowing things down by hogging more than their share, like the Saudis and OPEC, and the greedy bankers. Finally they’re forced to move over so the economy can take off again.

Which it will. Prices are going to be lower, and while some companies that depended on higher prices for basic goods like oil will have to lay off workers, other companies that were about to close because of the escalating price of those commodities can now expand again and hire more workers. Then, as the economy warms up again, prices will start to rise with competition as more people have the money to buy a limited amount of goods, wages will increase to compensate for rising prices and an expanding job market, and we’ll be off again on another cycle of money, inflation, wealth, greed and collapse.

So don’t panic, just keep plugging away. It all goes round and round.

Rotten Oaks From Rotten ACORNs Grow

Friday, October 10th, 2008

The group calling itself ACORN works hard to register low-income voters who tend to vote for Democrats. ACORN’s under fire over allegedly phony voter registration in 12 states now, involving many thousands of false registrations.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada authorities seized records Tuesday from a group (ACORN) they accused of submitting fraudulent voter-registration forms — including for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cleveland Leader reports this morning that Barack Obama is lying about his involvement with the group ACORN, which recently added Missouri to the list of states in which its activities are under investigation. While Obama’s site maintains that he never trained ACORN activists — whose training apparently encourages them to play fast and loose with election laws — Chicago ACORN leader Toni Foulkes has thanked Obama for doing precisely that.

Ohio Sec. of State accused of ACORN Voter Fraud Allegations by a federal judge.

There are also strong allegations that Obama has funneled funds to ACORN. He has in fact been strongly supportive of them, and STANLEY KURTZ, ETHICS & PUBLIC POLICY INSTITUTE, says: “ACORN is a group of very radical community organizers. They have been very strongly supported by Barack Obama, although he sometimes likes to deny that connection. Obama has channeled the funds to ACORN from various foundations he’s been on. He’s done training for ACORN of their leaders.

And what ACORN does is they try to intimidate banks into giving these high-risk loans to low-credit customers. This is what they did for years, especially in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

They would flood protestors into the lobbies of banks, scare away customers, they would send protestors to the homes of bankers, they would break into private offices of bankers to scare them, and they would file complaints under something called the Community Reinvestment Act, which is a law that ACORN used to try to force these banks to make these high-risk loans.”

Obama, Acorn & Their Starring Role in the Mortgage Crisis, by Frank Salvato.

In other words, ACORN is behind much of the current economic meltdown caused exactly by all the high-risk loans, and Obama is behind ACORN.

This is the guy who wants to lead us out of this same finacial disaster that’s now affecting the entire world. The same person who is funding voter fraud in his favor. You think George Bush was bad? You ain’t seen nothing yet if Obama gets voted in.

Chicago Opens Elementary School For Sheep Fuckers

Thursday, October 9th, 2008

Or at least they should, considering they’re opening a school for young homosexuals. What Chicago is doing is promoting homosexual sex among 16 to 19-year-olds.

“Chicago school officials plan to recommend opening a gay-friendly campus, citing studies that homosexual high school students have greater dropout rates than heterosexual teens.”

“Greater dropout rates”, huh? Wait until they start getting those greater AIDS rates among those kids, THEN they’ll see dropout rates they won’t believe.

This is insane. We can’t separate students on the basis of sexual preferences, in public schools, anymore than we can separate them on the basis of religion. That’s what parochial and private schools are for. Now latinos and blacks and the various oriental groups can demand their own public schools, because if you can separate on the basis of sexual preference you can certainly separate on the basis of race!

What about their teachers? Straight teachers will be constantly sexually harassed by all those young homosexuals to try queer sex and homosexual teachers will be hard pressed not to take up the constant invitations, because young homosexuals are far more sexually aggressive than normal people. This is going to end up with lots of teachers being prosecuted for sex with minors, public outcries against the schools and those who promoted them… this is really going to be a mess.

Liberalism is a mental illness. I swear to God it is.

The Final Legacy

Tuesday, October 7th, 2008

As this site describes, the eight year presidency of George Bush Jr. has proven the most harmful and disastrous in American history. Only Jimmy Carter comes close as a failed president, and him only because he was weak, ineffectual and indecisive. The harm he did empowering Iran was nothing compared to the harm Bush has done, including empowering Iran far more than Carter did.

Soon Bush will be out of office and our next president will be in, and the question is, who will it be and what will they do? Never before in living memory has the presidency of our nation been such an important issue, not just to America but to the world. Many see John McCain only as a member of the political party that gave us George Bush, and won’t vote for him out of fear that he’ll continue the disastrous legacy of Bush. This is his biggest hurdle to leap in the minds of voters.

Even if McCain were to become president, there’s no guarantee that he’ll be able to pull our nation out of the abyss that Bush has dropped us into.

The proposed taxation agenda of Barack Obama is likely to worsen the financial meltdown and possible depression that we’re now facing as a result of the actions and inaction of George Bush. He’s inexperienced and changes his direction like a weathervane, with the shifting winds. The man is clearly all talk and no substance, with the worst background of any presidential candidate we’ve ever had, yet he leads in the polls. All because of George Bush.

Right now, humanity is teetering on the brink of another Great Depression. There have been runs on many banks as people rush to withdraw their money, fearing bankrupty and collapse of their banks. The worlds stock markets are unstable, also because of fears of economic collapse. The bailout plan does not appear to be working as intended. People are afraid and unsure.

In a worst-case scenario, if Barack Hussein Obama becomes our president, taxes will increase, blacks will be empowered beyond reason, Muslims will gain strength and Islam will expand its foothold here. We will sink into a terrible depression and take the world with us, the political demographics of the entire planet will dramatically and very rapidly change, and the Earth will very likely be plunged once again into a world war, this time with nuclear weapons being used by all combatants.

The only reason Obama might become our president is because of the terrible legacy of George Bush. If not for him, Obama would have never stood a chance. The final fruit of the Bush presidency may very well be the destruction of human civilisation.

Will An Honest Poll Please Stand Up?

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

Regarding the debate between Sarah Palin and Joe Biden, the reviews couldn’t be more mixed… or more prejudiced.

A poll by CNN and Opinion Research found 51 per cent thought Mr Biden had performed best, with Mrs Palin taking 36 per cent of respondents.

A survey of uncommitted voters for CBS found the split even more pronounced, with Mr Biden on 46, Mrs Palin on 21 and a relatively high proportion stating that neither had impressed or that they could not decide.

When the uncommitted voters were pressed, 18 per cent said they would vote for Barack Obama and Mr Biden following the debate, with only 10 per cent ready to line up for John McCain and Sarah Palin.

Another instant poll done by Fox News, which did not allow for such fence-sitting, had the divide between the two candidates at 61 per cent for Mr Biden and 39 per cent for Mrs Palin.

However a focus group of independent voters gathered by the pollster Frank Luntz, whose analyses on BBC Newsnight have proved influential in British politics in recent years, called the debate in favour of Mrs Palin.

Among the group, half of whom voted for the Democrat John Kerry in 2004, (a Democrat) an overwhelming majority raised their hands to signal Mrs Palin had won the debate when asked.

While about a dozen said that Mrs Palin had changed their minds and that they would now support Mr McCain, only one person in the group said he had changed his mind in support of Mr Obama.

Other websites ran less scientific measures of voter reaction. A poll by 3,887 readers of Forbes.com found that 73 per cent believed the debate had been won by Mr Biden, with just 23 per cent plumping for Mrs Palin.

However, a similarly rough survey of almost 300,000 readers of the Drudge Report website made the split 69 per cent to 29 per cent in favour of the Republican candidate.

Google News page lists only the slanted poll results favoring Obama, when there are just as many slanted polls showing Palin as the clear winner. I watched the debate and came away with the impression that Palin had a small edge, for these reasons:

Biden kept making faces and twisting his mouth around. He would smile broadly at inappropriate times, and his responses to questions were filled with factual inaccuracies and a few clear falsehoods. He often looked shifty-eyed and devious. He also kept trying to claim that McCain is a Bush clone, which McCain clearly is not.

Palin did some sidestepping on a few responses but her answers were mostly factual and accurate in their content. She also goofed on a few facts, though, as noted in a link above.

She spoke clearly and directly to the viewing audience and had better viewer rapport. She came off as a very capable person who knew what she was about. Her energy level was high and her honesty and sincerity shone pretty brightly.

They both displayed good, solid knowledge on most topics, though I thought Palin had a clearer grasp of economic principles. It was a very close debate as far as who won on the basis of their answers, Biden took some, Palin took others. Palin did make one quick slip, which I saw was caught by Biden but no one commented on it: She called him Obiden. I thought that was a hilarious Freudian slip.

Because it was so close, I think the winner was the one displaying the most likeable personality, and that was Sarah Palin, no doubt of it. The test, to me, is which one would I rather buy a used car from, and that’s definitely Sarah Palin.

What I Did On My Mexico Vacation

Thursday, October 2nd, 2008

This was my second trip to the tip of Baja, Calif., Mexico for fishing after a hiatus of almost 6 years, and things have changed.

The fishing wasn’t all that great the last time but my fishing buddy and I each brought back about 30 pounds of filets for our 3 days of effort. This time around we got less than half of that, and there were a lot less of us fishermen out on the water. The boat captains agree, the fishing is progressively getting worse.

Well, what can you expect? The area of ocean being fished is perhaps 20 miles long and 10 miles wide, and it’s been fished heavily for many years. So while this isn’t helping the Baja economy much, it’s not the real problem.

The general economic downturn is hitting the tourism industry of Mexico hard. The last time we went, our very large resort hotel was filled with fishermen. This time around we were the only fishermen staying there for 2 of our 3 days of fishing. That’s pretty dramatic. Worse yet, I never saw more than a dozen or so guests at any given time. The place was almost deserted and it was the same story at all the other resort hotels in San Juan Del Cabo. This tale is repeated all over Baja and in Mexico proper as the tourist industry has virtually collapsed.

Tourism is the major source of income for Baja California and for most of Mexico, and most of those tourists have always been Americans. The tremendous increase in crime in Mexico is directly related to the decrease in their income, coupled with the increasing return of illegals to their own country as jobs for them here dry up.

Now, the funny part of this is that the Mexican people blame us for their sudden return to poverty, because we’re no longer providing them with an easy income. In Baja, the service industry, waiters, cooks, etcetera, are, of all things, the elite income earners, the Upper Middle Class, entirely because of the generosity of Americans in leaving tips. They’re very resentful of our failure to continue to support them for doing almost nothing, and they show it. The second morning of my stay there I woke up dreaming that I was surrounded by humanoid vultures, all with their hands out. You can’t turn around without someone rushing up to help you with the slightest thing and looking at you resentfully if you decline the offer.

Another funny thing is the disparity between the way we accomodate them and the way they don’t accomodate us. All over the West coast states of America, you go in any store and the signs are all in English and Spanish. All over Mexico the signs are all in Spanish, including all the tourist sites that we frequent. Mexicans have a bad attitude toward the hands that feed them.

When we started making everyone entering the US, including Mexicans, fill out a customs form, their president got all pissy and said bluntly that if we were going to do that to them, they were going to do it to us, and they have, in spades. Entering Mexico, you fill out a virtual clone of our form, only with added and repeated sections that seem to have no purpose, and you’d better hang on to the bottom half because if you don’t have it on leaving, you have to fill out another one and pay a $50 fine. They treat us as if we were like them, filling their country with criminals and drugs and millions of illegal invaders and potential terrorists. Then they wonder why we don’t want to go there anymore after they take revenge on us for merely trying to protect our country from another major disaster.

On our departure from Mexico the Mexican customs put our luggage through an xray machine that was turned off and only the conveyor belt on it was running. At least our carry-ons were inspected by our airlines security people before we boarded. All in all, the Mexicans made both our entry and departure as much a pain in the ass as they could get away with, in stark contrast to our previous trip there. How stupid can you get when their whole economy depends on making us feel wanted and welcome?

The hotel, to save money in the face of decreasing guests, decided to shut off the air conditioning in the lobby/main dining room/bar. The temperature stayed around 95 degrees with the humidity at about the same percent. It was unbearable. The only cool place in this entire monster hotel was our room, in which we kept the air conditioning turned on. This place is a Best Western, yet they demanded an additional $4 a day to turn on the very tiny, cheap little refrigerator in the closet, which is insulting as Hell when you’re already paying $250 a day. This isn’t done in the US in any Best Western hotel. Ever.

Mexicans don’t seem to be able to see beyond themselves. Not one whom we talked to about their economy had the slightest understanding of the reasons for its collapse other than it was “Americas fault”, which it is not. They have only themselves to blame.

Mexico has lost me forever. My fishing partner as well. These people are simple, uneducated, greedy and without a trace of foresight. And worst of all from my point of view, they’re running out of fish.
