Our politically correct lawmakers both here and abroad in the UK had no trouble passing special laws against “hate” crimes, criminal acts, usually violent in nature, inspired by hatred or bigotry.
So why haven’t they made overt acts of terrorism, including financial support of terrorism and advocating terrorist acts, punishable by death?
That’s what terrorism is for, killing and maiming people in order to subjugate them through terror. What could be more deserving of the death sentence than that?
If we can make acting out of hate a felony with long prison terms, then surely being a terrorist or promoting terrorism is far worse. Terrorists consider their lives forfeit from the start and we should agree with that. Give them their martyrhood and be quick about it.
They have in the UK, and a few Muslims have been convicted for being in possession of or disemminating material likely to further or encourage terrorism. Trouble is, one has the impression it is just being used to make the government seem tough by prosecuting daft youths who mostly never get beyond ranting. They do not tackle the real issue of the extremist imams who are radicalising them.
One good sign is that people are the press more and more inclined to speak out against Islam. Things you would once only find on blogs are now in The Times.
