End of an era, time to go.

Blogging is dead, YouTube and MySpace and Twitter have replaced it. 15 minutes of fame has been replaced by 15 seconds of fame, and reading is dying as all we have to do now is click on icons and then watch the brief video.

In fact, we’re going to end up like the ancient Egyptians, with our written language reduced to a bunch of icons. Instant visual recognition, like a stop sign, poison emblem or radiation symbol. Not really, but reading is a decreasing skill, as evidenced by the greatly increasing inability to spell correctly among the general population. Most people can barely spell at all anymore.

So goodbye, adios, to all you few who’ve paid this particular ranter any attention, and thank you for stopping by. It’s all been said now anyway, all the warnings are posted here, all the predictions of your future are here. I did my part to tell the world what was happening to it and why, I handed out the tools. It’s not my job to keep handing out tools or make the needed repairs, I’m too old, too retired, too separated now from the System.

It’s your job. I’m in a pretty safe little out of  the way place for as long as I need to be but you probably aren’t. You have the tools, you know what’s coming because I told you, now fix your future before it rushes up and destroys you first. Or don’t. Matters not to me, I’m just an observer these days.
