Obama is preparing to publicly demonstrate a skill he’s been visibly practicing for some time now, and most of us in this country can hardly wait for him to get on with the show.
After having his Attorney General, Eric Holder, announce that captured homicidal terrorists, who have taken part in mass murder, will be given all the rights of Americans and tried in our courts, Obama is now backpedalling on this extremely stupid and contentious issue and showing some real agility at it.
White House advisers are considering recommending alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed be tried in a military court instead of a civilian one in New York City, a senior administration official told CNN on Friday.
It’s about damn time. “To try Mohammed and others “as common criminals, giving them the constitutional rights of American citizens in our courts, is justice according to ‘Alice in Wonderland,’” said Sen. Joe Lieberman, a Connecticut independent.”
The ACLU, Communist/Islamist enemy of democracy, is really starting to foul its pants over this. “If this stunning reversal comes to pass, President Obama will deal a death blow to his own Justice Department, not to mention American values,” said Anthony Romero, homosexual executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union.
“If the president flip-flops and retreats to the Bush military commissions, he will betray his campaign promise to restore the rule of law, demonstrate that his principles are up for grabs and lose all credibility with Americans who care about justice and the rule of law.”
Did you ever hear such hypocritical crap? These are the “Progressive” activists who want to reduce America to a poverty-ridden Socialist dictatorship. With them in power.
The plain fact is that Obama has already come perilously close to dealing a death blow to his justice department, as all caring Americans are outraged now at this trial mess. He has already lost much of his credibility when it comes to the rule of law. Moving those trials to a military court will restore that credibility, not damage it. The ACLU speaks with two tongues like a snake, but that’s no news. It always has.
