Senators Lindsey Graham and Charles Schumer are soon to propose a new immigration bill that will once again provide “a path to citizenship” to illegal aliens, border security and national biometric ID cards for all Americans.

Conservative News has this comment: “Meet the new bill–same as the old bill. Since 1986, Americans have been promised some variation of the three legged stool–amnesty, border protection, employer sanctions. Every time a bill passes, the illegals get the amnesty, the border remains open, and millions more illegally enter the country.”

What’s new with this bill is the infliction of national ID cards on citizens with imbedded “biometric” information such as fingerprints. The idea as proposed is that no one can get a job without one of these cards proving citizenship and this would prevent illegal aliens from finding work, thereby forcing them to either become citizens or leave.

The reality is that the cards would be used to monitor every aspect of every persons life. Look at the Social Security number. When that was passed it was mandated that it would only be used by the IRS for income tax purposes and that using it as general identification would not happen. Today, you need it for a credit check, police officers demand it for a records check, businesses demand it for all sorts of reasons, landlords want it when renting and so on. It’s become a national ID number. What it doesn’t do is verify citizenship, which the new card would do.

Look to the future. If this becomes law, all your credit card and debit card purchases will be tied to your national ID card. All your personal information including medical and criminal will be in an electronic file and accessible by any government agency and undoubtedly available to corporations to use in marketing to you and the media in reporting on you in spite of any laws to the contrary. Nothing in your life will be private any longer.

Everything you do will be scrutinized by any government agency that wants to. The government will have complete control over you and if you anger some arrogant petty bureaucrat, you may find yourself out of a job and unable to get another one, because the government controls who works and who doesn’t if this bill passes.

Forcing out the illegal aliens is a great idea, but this is not how to go about it. This is nothing but a Socialistic power grab aimed at destroying democracy in favor of a Big Brother society.

Defending our borders with armed guards willing to shoot is how it’s done. We need a complete change of attitude from the Far Left Liberal “Open Borders”, “let ‘em all in”, to one that reflects our respect for our nation, our own citizens and our nation’s laws. We must make it clear that we are not a third world nation with unprotected borders, open to drug trade, smuggling and violence, but a proud sovereign nation willing to defend itself against invasion.

We don’t need to pass any new laws against illegal aliens, we have all we need. What we need is a government willing to enforce our existing laws to their full extent. We need to stop handing out welfare money to non-citizens, stop educating the children of illegal aliens in our schools, force out the illegal alien parents of “anchor babies”, and accept profiling as the recognized and valuable law enforcement tool that it is instead of pretending that it’s somehow racist.

No one in this country is color-blind. We all know that people who look like Middle-Easterners are possible terrorists. We know that dark-skinned short people who only speak Spanish are probably illegals. You can call that profiling, or you can call it common knowledge. What you choose to call it should have no bearing on whether or not the police have a right to demand to see identification without being harassed for doing their job protecting us from harm.

Political Correctness is the greatest single danger facing all us Americans today. Do not offend anyone who isn’t white. Be meek in the face of demands from anyone who isn’t white. Give special advantages to anyone who isn’t white. What a prescription for inter-racial violence! What a grand way to divide our country up into contentious racial factions.

The Liberal Left has gone so very far Left that any Centrist is now called a Far Right Extremist, that’s how badly our politics have been skewed, and if those Communist types manage to get this latest bill passed, it will be sunset on America.
