A group known as The Quartet met in the Russian capital on Friday and called for Israel and the Palestinians to return to peace negotiations with the goal of creating an independent Palestinian state within two years. They repeated their condemnation of Israel’s latest move to add Jewish housing in east Jerusalem but at least didn’t escalate further their criticism of the Jewish state.
Meet The Quartet: Hillary Clinton, Liberal Left; U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, outspoken supporter of Islamism; Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, (the Russians are building nuke plants in Iran); EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, (Liberal, Islam supporter, friend of Tony Blair); and the Quartet’s special representative and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who is a virtual slave to Saudi interests.
Well! No anti-Semitism there, eh? And all they want is an independent Palestinian state within two years that refuses to recognize Israels right to exist, has sworn to destroy Israel, and for Israel to give up half of it’s capitol city of Jerusalem to their enemies in the bargain. Clearly this is what Obama wants as well. To bring down the state of Israel.
With all the constant screeching and lashing out in the news at Israel over this Palestinian State issue, one point is never explained: What is so important about creating a tiny little Palestinian state? Why is this such a big issue in world affairs and particularly with the United States government policy? Why does no one point out to the Palestinians how much better off they would be as citizens of a united Israel than enduring the terror and misery inflicted on them now by their terrorist governments? Why is no one, and particularly the United States, working toward this very worthy goal instead of trying to destroy Israel?
With all the vast Arab lands surrounding them, why is it that not anyone, including the United States , ever even suggests that perhaps Egypt or Jordan could give a bit of land to their fellow Arabs to make a state with? I mean, what the Hell, it’s all Arabs and Arabs, why should Jews give up part of the tiny space they hold for some Arabs who hate them anyway? Are the Arabs really that miserly?
The answer is yes. The truth is that not only don’t any of the Arab nations want to give away an inch, they don’t want any of the Palestinians moving in, either. They don’t want Hamas or Fatah operating within their borders and working to overthrow their own countries, they’d much rather see them attacking the Jews.
After the Quartet’s meeting, Hillary Clinton “spoke approvingly of indications Netanyahu is ready to address her country’s concerns.”
“What I heard from the prime minister in response to the requests we made was useful and productive,” she said, “and we are continuing our discussions with him and his government.”
This is bullcrapese for: We are doing our best to put Israel in a bind and force them to do our will.
The reality is that if Netanyahu gives in to these outrageous demands he might as well go hang himself as face his people, so instead he’s dancing around the issue and throwing bones at the dogs trying to bite him. I predict that the end result will be that he promises to do other things besides what they were asking while threatening certain retaliations of his own. Afer all, the Israelis manufacture some of our most sensitive military components. It’s good profit for them but we’re screwed if they should suddenly stop. No doubt there are plenty of other things they can do to strike back, too. The Israelis are no slouches at protecting themselves from attacks, including ours.
This whole affair is going to end badly for the Jew-hating Obama crowd, I’m sure of it. There’s not one of those dirty politicians with a mind good enough to outfox the Israelis, and all of them put together only create messes instead of well-conceived plans. Watch how this falls out. I’m betting that Obama will back off. If he doesn’t, he’s going to make a mess of it.
America loves Israel, particularly the Religious Right of America. Israel is the birthplace of Jesus and Israel is the protector of all that is Sacred and Holy, whereas the Muslims want to destroy all that is sacred to both Christians and Jews in the Holy Land.
My sympathies are with the Israelis and against my own government. More specifically, I favor Right over Wrong, wherever that may be.
Your Leader. Here I am, eating grass. Pretty good grass. Do you like my ear tag? I wonder what it's for.
