Incredibly Stupid People Rant, Part IV…

Here is an excerpt from an article in today’s Fox News:

“You’ve thoughtfully picked out the right print or photo for that vacant wall space in your living room, but maybe you are overwhelmed by the thought of actually hanging it. Here is a basic strategy to tackle the often daunting task of hanging a picture or painting:”

Overwhelmed by the prospect of hanging a picture? Is this a joke?

The “often daunting task of hanging a picture”????? This is a genuine, actual article telling people how to hang a goddam picture. I had no idea that there was anyone on the planet who couldn’t figure out how to hang a picture, let alone people who were cringing in fear of having to face this apparently overwhelming task.

I am overwhelmed. At the idea that Fox News feels it necessary to instruct people on HOW TO HANG A FREAKING PICTURE ON A WALL!

When the majority of people in this country vote in a totally unqualified man as their PRESIDENT simply because he’s black, I know that that majority is dumber than a fence post. But when I see articles in the news, of all places, giving instructions on how to hang a picture, it makes me so astonished I can’t find the proper words to express it. And for me, that’s damn near a first. Perhaps people need instruction on how to set a mouse trap, that would make a good article, huh? How about “How to open and close drawers”? “How to push a lawnmower”.

Have we really become such a sluggish herd of dumbasses that we need instruction on the most basic of activities? Fox News thinks the answer is yes, and they supposedly speak to the independent thinkers of this country. If that isn’t scarey, then nothing is.

  1. Mr. AOW says:

    Good Lord!

People can’t even manage to hang pictures without encouragement and instructions?

    I think so.

I deal with dumbasses a lot of the time at work — and I hang around with a crowd smarter than most. ;)
