Just about a week ago I started feeling lower on energy than normal and this increased over the next few days. Finally, yesterday morning, I got up and realized after about an hour that all I really wanted to do was go back to bed. So I did, and stayed there, except for a few short trips to the necessary, until this morning.

I slept in ’til 8:30 AM, got up and began feeling better. Within a few hours most of that missing energy was back and now, this evening, I feel a little tired but not bad.

It turns out that this bug has been going around all over Washington state. A tenant came by to pay rent and told me she had it a few days ago, also her boyfriend and another person. But it doesn’t last long and doesn’t really hit very hard.

Thing is, I hadn’t put up a new post in a few days becaues of this bug  and that was nagging at the back of my mind. But on sifting through the news today, all I found was a whole lot of really disgusting things that us humans had done, are doing or were planning on doing but got caught at, and I’was just as glad that I wrote nothing.

I mean, there has to be some good news SOME of the time. I’m really tired of reading about all the despicable crap people do to each other. The only good thing I saw was some story about a kid who created a little arcade out of cardboard boxes and all the positive attention it’s brought him.

That’s just one kid out of how many billion now? Then I read about the guy who escaped from a North Korean prison camp where 200,000 supposed political prisoners are held and the horrors they suffer, and I wonder:

Why is it we could go into Iraq and supposedly free the poor suffering Muslims from the tyrannical yoke of Saddam Hussein and his sons, where the suffering of those people was as nothing compared to what all North Korean citizens are trying to survive, yet all we do about N. Korea is make denouncing statements. Oh you bad North Koreans.

No, I don’t think it’s our job to end that dictatorship. My way of ending it would be to nuke Hell out of it and tell the Chinese to back off or suffer for it, but that’s just me. I get belligerant about torturing children.

It’s just the contrast and the hypocrisy.  Our politicians posture and strut over this or that injustice or wrongdoing, but when they decide to actually act to correct anything, it’s always something that will profit them politically or financially, while our young people in the military go out to do their dirty work for them and die in the process.

So I’m HOPING that tomorrow will bring a brighter day in the world and I can rattle on about good things for a change. I know I can sure use it.
