Fox News reports that “at least a dozen” Secret Service agents were sent home from Columbia, where they were sent in advance of Obama’s trip there to be presidential guards, because of “allegations of misconduct involving prostitution”.
Well, assuming that these agents were mostly or all unmarried (I know, not the safest of assumptions but just for the sake of argument, okay?), since when is it the right of our government to tell anyone in their off hours who they can hop in bed with, in a country like Columbia where sex is sold like chewing gum? Prostitution is legal and widespread. Wikipedia
If prostitution was a big crime there, then yeah, get our people out before they land in some filthy Columbian jail. But otherwise, these agents are people with their own lives after hours, not priests whose every moment is scrutinized for adherence to an endless litany of rules.
I can see that a job guarding the president would require one to be pretty much above reproach, but if paying to get laid is legal, where’s the reproach? We have a president who’s the Asshole of the Universe, yet his guards have to be perfumed virgins? This is so wrong…..
Quite. I had a massage from a nice young lady today. Unfortunately, just for my shoulder that got a bit buggered by a fall on the ice earlier this year. Think I’m too mean to pay for “extras” anymore anyway.
