Abortion is legal and it’s likely to stay that way, for a number of good reasons. The first and most obvious is that women are now recognized as being actual persons with rights, including the right to say what happens to and inside of their own bodies.

The idea that women are little more than a piece of rib out of Adam’s left side has lost considerable credence ever since the Creationists lost their case in the Scopes trial in 1925, but that doesn’t stop some Republican religious freaks from carrying on in their old, stupid, fanatical traditions.

Which is why Trent Franks of Arizona and others of his pointless ilk are trying to make it illegal to abort a fetus because of its gender.

Will someone explain to me why, if a woman can abort a pregnancy for no reason other than she doesn’t want to be pregnant, why then should it matter if she has a different reason? Why should the reason have a damn thing to do with it?

How do you enforce a law like this? Over the counter baby gender tests went on the market 3 years ago. Anyone can find out the sex of that tiny little zygote without seeing a doctor. Do you outlaw the tests? Then you open up the Black Market for smuggled tests and create new crime and criminals where there were none before, along with another brand new nightmare for law enforcement. Great idea, huh?

Do you force women to sign a sworn affadavit before they can get an abortion, that they aren’t getting it because they don’t want a boy child or a girl child? Swear that they haven’t purchased a gender ID kit or used one? Make liars out of women who did check the gender and don’t want that boy, or that girl, when it’s their right to choose whether they even bear a child at all or not?

Abortion is a religious issue. It always has been. The way our politicians natter on about “separation of church and state”, you would think they were actually serious, but they’re not. The Catholic politicians want to regulate birth control methods. The Christian evangelist types want to keep women from getting abortions and the Muslim politicians want to keep women from doing anything.

While we as Americans are perpetually fighting to keep our rights from being eroded, women in this country are still fighting to get the rights that men take for granted, and ownership of their own bodies is still being contested as if they were chattel in a slave market. It’s rediculous.

It’s things like this that take away from the viability of the GOP as a whole. I want to see Obama out and anyone but him in, and that means a Republican president. Anti-abortion laws are UNPOPULAR. The MAJORITY OF THE PEOPLE DON’T WANT THEM. HELLO? The Republicans need to STOP looking like they think they own Christianity, especially in the snarly way they interpret the religion of Jesus and stomp all over respect for women’s choices.

UPDATE: The bill that would have made gender-selective abortion a Federal crime with 5 years imprisonment was defeated in the House, by a final vote of 246 in favor, 168 against. 30 more votes in favor would have seen it passed. Ladies, you squeaked by on this one. BOTH PARTIES nearly passed this mess. I forgot, even some Democrats have religion.

The law firm Dewey & Leboeuf LLP filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection Monday night, the largest law firm collapse in U.S. history.

They had about 1,450 attorneys at their peak, now are down to 100 employees of all kinds after firing 433 of them. 100 to go.

In my opinion, attorneys are the scum of the earth. I place them lower than child molesters, since molesters are often driven by uncontrollable compulsions whereas attorneys will fuck anyone over at any time, do it for money alone, and reduce anyone they can to total destitution regardless of merit or innocence, and do it with deliberation, malice aforethough and in full control of their decisions.

It is attorneys who have taken over the running of our government. Nearly all politicians in office are attorneys.  Obama is an attorney. Bill Clinton is an attorney. Do you like those guys?

I’m GLAD that for all the huge fees this heap of lawyers charged their hapless and helpless clients, they still went bankrupt. You can bet your sweet ass that it was because of the lavish lifestyles these bloodsucking parasites enjoyed, while driving the basic cost of living up through the roof for every hardworking American.

Attorney costs are part of the costs of every product we buy from car insurance to roller skates to fast food. People will sue over anything and the lawyers are quick to jump in and press for massive settlements. Like the woman who got scalded by coffee at MacDonalds, the fortune she collected was only part of what MacDonalds had to pay out, as there was her attorney fees and their attorney fees. All that has been added to the price of a Big Mac and fries and YOU are paying it back.

Look in the business section of your telephone book under Attorney and start counting. When you’ve gone through all the many pages of Attorney, then look to see if any other occupational listing comes anywhere close. None do. Why? Because it’s so easy to become a lawyer and there’s so much money to be made as one. All you need is an average I.Q. and a total lack of morals.

Because we have a free market in this country, people can charge what they want for their services, and I’m all for freedom. I do think that market prices should reflect value and in most cases, consumer pressure achieves exactly that. In two service occupations, however, this doesn’t seem to hold true. Those two are lawyers and dentists, and you’ll find that dentists come in second in the phone book count.

Dentists are united in price-fixing, and attorneys rule the roost in lawmaking and there looks to be no chance that either will ever be regulated by law. At least we have the freedom to revile the sons of bitches.

Our Great and Noble Leaders tell us that all the back and forth fighting and killing in Syria “may be cause for intervention” by us.

What in bloody Hell for? Not one American, other than the very few of Syrian descent, gives a mouse fart about Syria and who lives or dies there. Syria is our enemy!!! I hope they all kill each other and no one is left. But Obama is all concerned now about the muslims killing each other?

I’ve got a war for him to throw our troops at, right here at home. One black kid was killed and 24 others were wounded including a little 6-year-old girl who was down the street from some shooters, in random violence all over Chicago in one day!  I know they were black because, one, it always is blacks who shoot the place up, and two, the dead kid’s name is Jaleel, a black muzzie name if ever there was one.

Chicago is starting to sound like Mexico. Gang violence has been steadily increasing all over America. There’s your shiny new war, Obama. Stay the hell out of the Middle East and start cleaning up your own backyard.

Today, Sunday, I decided to check out a local antique store in the little mountain town I’ve moved to, and it turned out that behind the store is a large group of ancient buildings that were rescued from ghost towns in the area. So I took the unguided tour, for which there was  a $5.50 fee.

What the $5.50 earned you was the ability to wander around amongst the old buildings and go into a few of them, and considering the ages of these little shops and cabins, the thought easily came to mind how the price of admission would have been only twenty-five cents back when quarters were made of silver.

Today, a silver quarter of no collector rarity/value whatever is worth about $6 or $7. When our silver coins were taken up by our government and cheap clad coins replaced them, inflation really took off.

What I think is logically coming next is plastic coins. With a detectable chip inside costing less than half a cent that verifies it’s denomination along with a bar code on the outside and it’s value in raised letters or numerals. 50 cent pieces can be popped out by the billions at a cost of less than 2 cents apiece.

Why not? The clad coins are nearly worthless now in terms of their metal value, and all there is otherwise is money made of paper, backed only by our government’s promise to exchange it for more paper that’s exactly the same. That’s the definition of Fiat Currency. Backed by nothing.

Not one nation on Earth now uses the Gold Standard. All currencies are backed by nothing more than common usage. Since paper dollars and worthless clad coins are all that we have to buy and sell with, that’s what we use. This is the how and why of so many nations experiencing massive inflation. Whenever their governments wanted to spend more money, they simply printed more, but the more money you have in circulation, the less each bill is valued at. It’s simple.

Every nation in history since the invention of money has collapsed economically when they stopped backing their money with gold and silver and went to an entirely fiat currency. The Euro is a fiat currency, as is the Dollar, and both are suffering from rapidly increasing inflation.

In Germany, shortly before WWII finally ended, it took a wheelbarrow full of paper money to buy a loaf of bread. Historical fact. People used it to wallpaper their homes. It was only paper. Our money is only paper but our coins are still made of metal, no matter how ersatz. When the proposition is put forth to start making our coins of plastic, get ready for $100,000 bills.

“Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has signed a law aimed at keeping the state’s courts or government agencies from basing decisions on Islamic or other foreign legal codes” and CAIR, yes, the terrorist affiliated muslime bunch that should have been deported years ago is threatening to challenge the law.

Similar laws have already been enacted in Arizona, Louisiana and Tennessee, and another was passed in Oklahoma but shot down by an activist 10th Circuit Federal Court judge because it specifically mentioned Sharia law, which the judge ruled made it discriminatory against a specific religion. As yet, no new effort is being made by Oklahoma to rewrite the law and pass it that I’ve heard of.

The argument against these laws is that Jews also have religious laws that courts sometimes recognize, so picking out Islamic law is discriminatory. Fine. Then the muslime should have no problem if ALL religious law is banned from our courts in the interest of Constitutional separation of Church and State, which is exactly what the new Kansas law does. Where they think they have a challenge is “because supporters of the measure frequently expressed concern about Shariah law”. Good luck with that weak premise.

This makes 4 states now with laws restricting our courts to considering ONLY U.S.A. laws and no other from any other nation, religion, cult, labor union, fraternal brotherhood, nudists, channelers of ancient spirits, tree worshippers or people who paint themselves blue.

About damn time the rest of the states joined in.

When that Paki doctor who targeted bin Laden for us was arrested and sentenced to 33 years for “high treason”, I waited to see what our response would be and was gratified that we are costing the miserable, two-faced and backstabbing Paki officials 33 million dollars of the payola they’ve been accustomed to dividing between themselves.

Other lesser punitive monetary efforts are also either mandated or are in the works, but I really don’t think withholding funds is adequate, given their response to what we’ve done and said so far.

When they tell us that imprisoning that doctor “is payback” for our raid on bin Ladens compound, and that we should “take a deep breath” and “move on”, I bet that pisses a lot of Congress people off just as much as it does most other Americans. I know it irritates the crap out of me.

Pakistan is a fourth-rate nation. Having a nuclear arsenal doesn’t incur sophistication or make them deserving of respect. What deserves respect is honesty, fair play, evenhandedness, high standards, respect for others, equal and fair application of the law, that sort of thing. All of which the Pakis lack.

The people in power in Pakistan do whatever they want regardless of what their laws are and regardless of agreements. They act more like a group of competing Mafia families than anything resembling an organized and cohesive government. Pakistan is what Clint Eastwood called a clusterfuck.

And there we are, trying to make deals with this mess of a nation that has no real central leadership, and constantly getting stung. This is totally the wrong approach. Bribes and payola are clearly not working, they take the money, put their hands out for more, and then go right ahead and screw us over anyway and renege on all the deals. But they keep the money.

Instead, we need to do the opposite. Rather than give them money we should be depriving them of their other income, from whereever. Cut off their lines of supply, dry up their financial sources, embargo their exports, sanction the Hell out of them and countries that do business with them, arm India and side with India in their dispute over Kashmir. Threaten them.

THAT will get us what we want, absolutely. I know this from seeing how Muslims do business among themselves. They don’t bribe each other, they kill each other.  Saddam Hussein was a highly successful ruler of Iraq until Bush went after his oil, and he got there by ruling like a despot. Exactly as all Arabs successfully rule and the only way they can rule and stay in power.

The iron hand is the only thing that Muslims accept, especially Arab Muslims. Islam is all about fear. You don’t get all that submission from handing out gumdrops and candygrams, you get it by instilling deep fear in the people. They understand fear. They don’t understand bribes. Bribes are proof of weakness, thank you for the money, stupid infidel, now give me more. Stupid infidel.

We need to squash those badmouthing Paki officials like bugs, literally, leave them with burst intestines all over the floor, kill their families, get bloody and messy, and do it repeatedly until they fall in line. Then we can win this damn war and come home.

Two women were sitting in a running parked car Thursday when they got into an argument, police said. Kimberly Black left the vehicle, went into her house, returned with a knife and stabbed SHARICE Swain in the face and neck.

The wounded Swain then stepped on the gas pedal and hit Black’s two young children, who were standing near the car. Two-year-old KIMSHIA Ruffin was killed, and her 1-year-old sister, TARAJI Ruffin, was struck, but her injuries were not considering life-threatening, police said.

Black, 29, was found naked several blocks away and arrested.

The female black assailant killed her supposedly best friend with a knife. The black victim sat in the car and waited for her assailant to get the knife and stab her. She then smunched one of her assailants children with the car and tried to get the other one. A true case of Hey, if you stab me I’ll kill your kids.

So now one violent idiot is dead, along with a future violent-idiot-to-be, and a third will go to prison where she can’t produce any more of her kind. This is the Darwin Principle, that the best qualified to survive are the ones that do, and the rest die out. Ain’t Mother Nature grand?

Health officials are testing 35 babies for tuberculosis after a person with an active case of the life-threatening disease visited neonatal-intensive care units at two Northern California hospitals.

Few details have been released about the contagious individual, who has since been placed in isolation and is receiving treatment.

Officials say the Solano County resident visited Sutter Memorial Hospital in Sacramento during the latter half of March and NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield in early and mid-April.

We had TB pretty much wiped out until all the diseased fucking Mexicans came pouring in over our border, with  winks, smiles and friendly nods from Bill Clinton, George Bush and Bastard Obama. Anything for a vote, so what if people die drowning in their own fluids as long as all those extra votes keep coming in, right?

No, I don’t mean the voting booths, aka polls. I refer to the various and very dubious polls being constantly published by the different news media that invariably support their own political positions, regardless of reality.

The Washington Post has just announced, for instance, that since B*******k Obama came out in favor of homosexual marriage, opposition to it is now at a record low according to their in-house poll.

The WaPo is all for homosexuals being allowed to marry and adopt little children whom they will then be free to sexually exploit if they’re so inclined, and it’s virtually guaranteed that many of them will do so. Polls may lie but statistics don’t.

Since this poll was taken from their readership/listeners, who are primarily Liberal Left, how skewed and one-sided do you suppose it might be?

The same is true of polls conducted by Conservative media. Far more people of a conservative bent watch Fox News, for instance, than do liberal types, so polling among conservatives will always generate conservative responses.

Gallup polls have always been broad-spectrum, gathering a pretty even  and reliable result from a lot of different areas and social groupings, and I would trust a Gallup poll that verified the WaPo poll. What I can’t help but notice, though, is that I never hear of Gallup polls anymore. The various major media apparently aren’t happy with Gallup’s results so they just do their own polls, which are far more likely to give them the results they wanted, and which they then publish as if that slanted effort were the Gospel truth.

Nothing will give you a better perspective on just how much pure bullshit is being fed to us by ALL the various media than blogging. When you start reading all the various political takes, it really comes home just how much the truth is twisted this way and that until it no longer even resembles actual events as they really happened and actual opinions of real, living people.

Seven thousand pounds of marijuana was found floating off the Orange County, Calif. coast with no apparent reason for it to be there. The Coast Guard didn’t see any boats around and there were no distress calls from anyone.

Yeah, but this is CALIFORNIA! I bet one of those insane looking submarines the drug cartels was building in Mexico pooped those bales of pot out a tube right there in that spot because that was the pre-ordained pickup point with a local boat. Either the sub pilot was too stoned to get the gps coordinates right or the boat pilot fell asleep, got the pickup date wrong, was killed by an opposing gang or was in jail on unrelated drug charges.

The estimated value of the pot is about $428 a pound, according to the article on Fox, but that’s awful cheap pot even for Mexicans. Instead of a $3 million loss as the article has it, more likely that grass was worth a good $1000 a pound or more and the loss is at least $7 million. Bummer for the druggies, eh? Ho ho ho.

Today is loading day. I’ll be getting the U-Haul truck and starting to load in a few hours, it’s a 26 foot van and there’s a lot to load, so I’m going to be busy.

There’s a news article I’m not going to bother to link to that moans about the declining birth rate in Japan,  and declares that the Japanese may become extinct.

Is that anything like extinct as in dodo birds or passenger pigeons? Because the Japanese aren’t a species, let alone a separate race. All they are is a nationality and how does a nationality become extinct?

The Japanese, while they do prefer to think otherwise, are a mix of Chinese and Korean, mostly. Way back over 2000 years ago a Chinese ship captain discovered the Japanese islands. He went back to the emperor and told him about the islands, and offered to lead a flotilla of ships back there to populate the islands, which would become an expansion of the emperors domain.

So the emperor set him up with lots of married couples, craftsmen, scholars, supplies and so forth, and off they sailed, in exactly the opposite direction of where he’d told the emporer that the islands were. On landing, the captain set himself up as emperor and never returned to China.

Today’s Emperor of Japan is said to be a direct descendant of that lying, scheming con artist. No wonder the Japanese pulled off a sneak attack on us, it’s in their genes.

The Japanese today think of themselves as a separate race of people from all other Asians, and very definitely a superior race at that. So I wonder how they explain the fact that about half of them, including the teenagers, have no interest in sex? That’s what the story was about and it expressed their great fear that they’ll all die out. In about one thousand years!

Oh golly gee, what a terrible sense of impending doom, no more Japanese Islanders in 1000 years, isn’t that just awful? You know, considering what an arrogant, isolationist bunch of snobs they are anyway, I don’t think anyone would miss them anyhow.

Extinct in 1000 years! Talk about the silliest story of the day, I really do think this one gets the prize.

I see in the news this morning that the state of North Carolina has actually amended their state constitution by defining marriage as a union exclusively between a man and a woman. They have previously had a law that did this but laws can be overturned. Amending a constitution is far more difficult.

North Carolina is now the 30th state to have amended their constitution in order to ban homosexual marriage. That leaves 20 states to go but I don’t expect we’ll ever see states line California, Connecticut or Hawaii joining the list. At least common sense now has the majority.

Beyond any religious convictions toward the idea of same-sex marriages, there are very practical considerations. The first is the raising of children. Children brought up in households where normal sex is not practiced are taught an entirely skewed view of how people are supposed to behave. There’s a plethora of studies done by homosexuals verifiying, according to them, that those kids are all perfectly normal. Owners of pit bull dogs will tell you how sweet and loving their dogs are too, even as some of their children die every year from being bitten to death.

Those with special interests will always present arguments to prove that there’s never a problem, but there is a problem. Homosexuals have a far higher rate of pedophilia than non-homosexuals. For that alone, same-sex couples should never be allowed to adopt children. Add the general mental instability and socially dysfunctional behavior of the majority of homosexuals into this mix and you have more than enough reason to want children, as much as possible, to be kept safe from that sort of environment.

Religious taboos generally form because of very practical reasons. The eating of pigs has been taboo with Semitic peoples for thousands of years because pork not only spoils fast, pigs contract a lot of diseases that can be passed on to man if the meat isn’t very thoroughly cooked.

Another taboo is sex with animals. Violating that restriction has resulted in the sexually transmitted disease of siphulus going from sheep to humans.

Now we have the AIDS epidemic, the result of eating infected monkeys and the disease passed on sexually primarily by men having sex with other men.

When the majority of us instinctually feel repulsed and turn away from some deviation in our species or our social mores, there’s usually a good reason for it. Most of us do know the difference between right and wrong.

China in the news… Was watching CCTV, Communist China TV. Not sure that the letters stand for that but that’s what it is. They were going on how our FBI is deliberately entrapping those 5 hillbilly “anarchists” who were plotting to blow up a bridge, and while not coming right out and saying what bad people we are to do such a bad, bad thing like entrapping scumbags, their meaning was certainly clear. Their big point in their so-called news story was that the 5  jerks are connected to the Occupy effort (that figures) and that they were entrapped to make Occupy look bad. The Chinese are clearly in favor of Occupy, by the way.

Don’t the Chinese understand how bad the Occupy turds look all on their own? They don’t need any help at all to look bad, they’re doing fine at it.

The other undertone of this stupid story was that we don’t really have democracy, that our government’s agents do whatever they want to us, like entrapping poor innocent shitbags. Personally, entrapping works for me if that’s what it took.

The Chinese have no place giving any opinions on our track record, not after murdering 40 million of their own and still persecuting the holy crap out of their people.

The Chinese are still so very backwards that they dry out dead babies and grind them into powder, and pack the powder into pills which they take thinking that disgusting, mega-bacterial mess will give them stamina and energy when more likely it will give them the diseases that killed the babies.

I think of all the advanced technology we’ve handed these people so they can make our goods for us and do it cheaper, and I see a billion monkeys with hand grenades.

Totally off subject, but first, I woke up at 2:30 AM this morning and, being awake, took the opportunity to go out on the back porch and gaze at the Super Moon for a few moments. Yep. Pretty big. But too cold out to linger.

   The subject: When we were attacked by the Japanese, who were allied with the Germans, we had no choce but to enter a war that nobody here wanted any part of. We lost an awful lot of people and a lot more came home missing arms, legs and sanity. We never wanted to find ourselves in such a weak, vulnerable position again. We wanted to be so strong, such a global military force, that no nation would ever attack us again.

And so it’s been. The downside of that is that to maintain public support of the constant huge financial outlay to support between 700 and 1100 US military bases around the world (there is no official listing, it’s a secret), with over 2,500,000 troops, we have to have enemies to be at war with.

So we made war against the North Koreans, then the Vietnamese, then the War On Drugs, throw in little Grenada since the opportunity was there, then Iraq and Afghanistan and the War On Terror. We will keep making wars as long as we want to keep maintaining that global military presence. That’s just how it is. No war, no funding.

The cost of the NATO missile defense shield that we’re trying to install in Eastern Europe over Russia’s strenuous objections and outright threats of attack, must be around $1 trillion, since our half of it is projected to be $500 billion. Our claim is that we need it to protect our European allies and ourselves from an Iranian missile attack. The Russians don’t buy this malarky for a second and neither does anyone else with one eye open. The cost of utterly wiping out Iran’s entire military, economic and industrial infrastructures shouldn’t run over $50 billion at the most and probably far less. That missile shield is designed to stop Russian missiles. It’s purpose is to weaken Russia’s military position and everyone who’s paying any attention to this knows it.

The horrible reign of Dictator Josep Stalin, followed by the constant threats of Nikita Kruschev and the murderous expansion of the Soviet Union, gave us no reason whatever to trust Russia. So of course we want to weaken their ability to nuke us. At the same time, we scare Hell out of the Russians with our massive presence around the globe. We constantly work at increasing that presence, too, and the Missile Shield is only one current example of that effort. We are presently deploying and re-deploying troops to both existing and new bases to maintain and expand our global military presence.

This can easily be seen as preparations for war by any nation that might feel threatened, as Russia does, and they’d be right to see it that way. It is preparations for war. How to you keep people from attacking you? You make sure they see that you’re prepared to fight them, not by letting them see that you’re not ready yet.  We’ve been busily preparing for war for the past 67 years, ever since the Big One ended.

Now, if we could just stop having new enemies to fight, and stay out of any war for a good long time, maybe our enemies might relax. But we can’t and stay prepared. It’s a bit of a paradox.

I suspect that we’re going to get into a localized skirmish with the Chinese in the South China Sea next. It would  suit the Chinese well too, since that would fuel support for their own military buildup. We fought the Chinese before in Korea, we’re old war buddies, sort of, and besides, all the fighting has been going to the ground crews and this would give our Navy something new to do.

Just something to keep an eye on.

When the Chinese started building the Three Gorges Dam, which is today the world’s largest hydroelectric dam, the thing looked risky to me, and I’m no engineer.  They dammed up a vast area with high hills that would enclose a truly huge amount of water, and that water would exert a huge pressure on the dam.

The dam itself is earthen banks covered in rock and concrete. Concrete gets pressure cracks. You can’t help it, it just does, and so the life of the dam is a calculated thing, as the functional period of all dams is.

After moving over 1,400,000 people out of the way “relocating them to new housing” while the dam was filling up, various disasters and collapses are forcing the “relocation” of at least another 100,000.

I really don’t care, there are billions of Chinese, and sweet old Chairman Mao personally oversaw the murder of over 40 million of them to bring about his Great Leap Forward. That must have been a hell of a leap, jumping over what a really huge pile 40 million bodies would make.

My point here is really about Chinese technology. The Chinese don’t make anything as well as we do. Not anything. Their quality control sucks. They try to make everything the cheapest way possible and will cheat during the process anytime they’re able, regardless of the chance of being caught and getting a bullet in the head for it. Chinese life is very cheap including how much each Chinese values their own.

You don’t see it in the media anymore because no one is reporting it, in consideration of China’s desire that we keep our mouths shut and just take the money. BUT, Chinese baby food manufacturers are still poisening babies, their toy makers are still poisening the toys, their food exports are still contaminated with filth, their products are still shoddy with high failure rates. Nothing has changed.

This is very simply because China, being a Communist (read Socialist) state, is completely corrupt from the top down. Once Mao died, that was it, the regime quickly became elitist and everyone saw the chance of great riches for themselves, to be gained from their positions of power. How that government continues to hold itself together is a mystery to me, but like the dam, it’s cohesiveness has to be crumbling.

It has to be. Look at Mexico, another completely corrupt state. Mexico is a failed state. The Soviet Union collapsed because of corruption, Reagan’s Star Wars simply gave it a little extra push.

We are also on the way to being a failed state. Specifically, the myriad of corruption scandals steadily coming into the light here are clear evidence of much wider and deeper corruption. Look at the massive raiding of our treasure by Obama and all the people in Congress who side with him, the vast sums spent on vacations and private homes, the use of our Air Force jets for political junkets, and on, and on.

If anything, what we’re seeing in the world today is a battle for the pole position of Last Place in the race to collapse.

Spirit Airlines has backed down.

“Dying Vietnam veteran Jerry Meekins is getting his money back from Spirit Airlines’ tightfisted boss after all.” (FOX News). Meekins is dying of cancer and after buying the ticket was told by his doctor that he was too ill to fly.

After a week of criticism from veterans around the nation, Spirit CEO Ben Baldanza issued a statement Friday afternoon saying he would personally refund Meekins’ $197 airfare, and that the discount carrier would make a $5,000 donation to the Wounded Warrior Project.”

Up until yesterday (Thursday, 5-3-2012) Baldanza refused to budge, saying that since Meekins hadn’t bought their travelers insurance, he wasn’t getting a refund. However, two Facebook campaigns, “Boycott Spirit Airlines” and another demanding he lose his job, quickly gathered a huge list of supporters, and bloggers everywhere joined in, in addition.

Faced with the financial loss to his company, and very possibly the loss of his job, this Scrooge finally agreed to give the poor old vet his fare money back.

“Sometimes we make mistakes,” Baldanza said. “In my statements regarding Mr. Meekins’ request for a refund, I failed to explain why our policy on refunds makes Spirit Airlines the only affordable choice for so many travelers, and I did not demonstrate the respect or the compassion that I should have, given his medical condition and his service to our country.”

Yeah. Well now, there’s a true fact or two.  Spirit Airlines has a Board of Directors like any other corporation, and they hire and fire CEO’s like him. This arrogant prick may have waited too long before showing a human side to the company and with any luck, he’ll be in an unemployment line soon. We’ll see.

Blind Chinese attorney Chen Guacheng is a dissident, in China, who was arrested and imprisoned in so-called house arrest for suing his government over forced abortions and sterilizations.

Newsbleat is taking no public stand on the rightness or wrongness of any part of this issue.

What is at issue is the treatment handed out to this guy by our ambassador and diplomats in our embassy in China.

Mr. Chen escaped from his house and made it to our embassy, requested and was granted political asylum. Then Hillary Clinton, on orders from Hussein Obama, cooked up a lie to tell Mr. Chen to get him to leave the embassy. They did this because Hillary was in the middle of sensitive trade negotiations with the Chinese and the Chinese were all upset over us giving protection to Chen. Hillary wants to borrow yet more money from China for the Democrats to waste. So to smooth things over, we threw Mr. Chen under the bus and then lied about it, to make them happy.

We can out-nuke China and Russia combined, and they know it. None of us wants a nuking contest, which means that we won’t have one, end of story. So. In every other way we are also militarily superior to both nations and they know this too. They posture and threaten but the plain fact is that war with us would destroy them and they know it. However, if all the face-making and demanding will get them what they want, why not try it? Where it gets really stupid is the part where we go for it. We shouldn’t even be over there and we should NEVER have borrowed a dime from them.

This effort by Obama to make deals with China is in great part political, a quest for election credits, and this shameful, embarrassing behavior has cost him far more credits than any China deal could ever win him.

Not all Americans care much what our government does, but an awful lot of us are good country folk who get real upset over mistreating and misleading  blind people. I sure hope everyone is reminded of this stinko of a deal when the voting booths open.

As many as 2,000 people are expected to participate in the “May Day March for Immigrant and Workers Rights” in Seattle, Wa. and they got off to a good start today.  A group of them in black clothes and with hoodies up, went around smashing store and bank windows and spray painting parked cars. Look at these scumbags:

Our media keeps referring to these violent criminal vandals as “activists”, “demonstrators” and “protesters”. No they’re not. They’re destructive criminals and there is no excuse in the world for them to go around destroying the hard-earned property of people who never did a thing wrong to them.

The Seattle police actually had to be authorized to take away the poles they were smashing windows in with, before they could even do so. What the hell is wrong with the Seattle police that they need to seek permission to protect private property from vandals?

In the good old days, these people would have been called Rioters and Looters and would have either had their heads beat with billy clubs if they were lucky or been shot if they weren’t. Here’s the fruit of Political Correctness, right in our faces.

Another teenaged black-on-white crime again. Two cowardly Negro boys ganged up on a 13 year old white child, threw gasoline on his head and set him on fire just as he was trying to open the front door at his house. They said that “this was what he deserved for being white.” He’s suffered 1st degree burns to his face and head and may have suffered injury to his eyes and lungs. Yes, this is being treated as a hate crime, at least so far.

Thank you, Barack Black Obama, for starting this campaign against white people with your “Trayvon would look like my son” tirade and utter refusal since to speak out against these racist attacks by Negroes. You are the worst excuse for a leader this nation has ever endured.

What’s going on? Here’s another horrifying case of child abuse. This mom replaced her toddlers eyedrops with bleach and permanently damaged the little girls’s sight in her right eye. I know this stuff happens but I can’t comprehend the mindset that makes parents deliberately torture their little kids. I don’t know if this woman belongs in prison or a mental institution.

Five hillbilly types have been arrested for plotting to blow things up in Ohio.  The article describes them as “anarchists” but I wouldn’t get that serious. They look to me like a bunch of low IQ jerkoffs who grew out of pouring gasoline down anthills and tying firecrackers to cat’s tails, and decided to do something bigger and more fun. Now they’ll have lots of fun during the next 30 years in a Federal prison, blaming each other for not figuring out that Number 6 of their group was an undercover Fed.

This came up yesterday but I passed on commenting since I figured that Spirit Airlines would smell the coffee and give Jerry Meekins, a war vet dying of cancer, his air fare back after his doctor told him he couldn’t fly. But no, Spirit Airlines insists that unless you buy their travelers insurance too, screw you, no refund, they don’t care if you have the Medal of Honor and are going to die if you don’t get the money. So my take on Spirit Airlines, which is the same take as about 10,000,000 vets now and no telling how many others, is SCREW SPIRIT AIRLINES. This one  is going to cost you big.

Black Obama, who was never in our military service a day of his life, to paraphrase his good friend Hilary Rosen whom he swears he never talked to during the 32 times she came to the White House to visit him, is catching a lot of flak, finally, for his bragging up the Navy Seals raid on bin Ladens little fortress as if he did it all himself. The Seals aren’t the only ones unhappy about him taking all the credit. I expect a lot of ex-Navy like myself share the feeling.

Obama’s administration so far has been one of nobody on watch, especially him. One government agency after another has become involved in truly lousy schemes and behavior. The gun sales to Mexican drug cartels, for God’s sakes, the Solyndra ripoff, the GSA parties,  and now this. Over three years, James Woosley and at least five other ICE employees scammed the agency by fabricating expenses for trips that were never taken and for hotel, rental car and restaurant expenses that did not exist. Woolsey pleaded guilty today in federal court to helping embezzle more than $500,000 from the federal government.

Let’s see. Three years. Hmm. Isn’t that how long Obama has been president?

America has a white hating racist at the helm of it’s government who doesn’t even have one hand on the wheel. The course of our nation is aimless, the only thing for certain is that we’re headed into uncharted and dangerous waters. No wonder things seem to be falling apart. They are.
