It’s the leaders of it who suck.
I see that Al Qaeda in Iraq has just killed another 103 people with bombs, placed in 13 cities. Remember when we invaded Iraq over 10 years ago because George Bush, OIL MAN, told us that OIL RICH IRAQ was loaded up with wmd’s. Remember that acronym, wmd? Do you ever hear it anymore? I don’t. It means Weapons of Mass Destruction. I don’t know how many of our people died over there over these non-existent WMD’S, and I don’t want to be reminded. If you want to, go Google it. I do know that Hundreds of Thousands of Iraqis died, at our, or I should say, at George Bush and Dick Cheney’s murderous hands. For nothing. They never got the oil because they were never able to take over the country. The fighting just never ended and they finally gave up and left.
Now the country that was formerly your average brutal but sort-of peaceful Arab dictatorship that was no threat to us, is steadily weakening under Al Qaeda attacks, and when Al Qaeda, OUR ENEMY, finally gets control of all that oil, and all that money and power, what do you think they’ll do with it?
Because of the policies of both father and son Bush, Republicans, our economy took a big dive and we elected a racist and radical black socialist/communist Democrat who has already spent us into the poorhouse, has taken Europe and every other nation except China along with him, and wants 4 more years to keep making things worse.
When we finally leave Afghanistan, nursing our tens of thousands of maimed and crippled young, the Taliban will move back in and take over, and if they don’t there will be a civil war between the government and the uniting tribes, and after they’re all weakened from their war the Taliban will move back in and take over.
Our glorious leaders swore never to negotiate with terrorists, yet they give billions of dollars to the ones who run Pakistan and make deals here and there and everywhere to get them to stop letting Al Qaeda set fire to our supply trucks and to look the other way when the US kills 24 of their own soldiers by mistake. It nearly broke our governments collective ass to apologize for that screw-up, but first they had to piss away several $billion$ trying to find other ways of supplying our troops, because the Pakis shut down the roads in retaliation.
Obama wants to negotiate with Iran’s leaders, who are terrorists, and with Al Qaeda and the Taliban. He has supported the ouster of the dictator of Libya, whom we had previously tamed into submission and where the Muslim Brotherhood (our enemy) is now taking over, and he abetted the ouster of the president of Egypt, who had a peaceful relationship with Israel and the West. Now the Islamists are taking over there as well, and since he supports the removal of Syria’s dictator, no doubt that’s because Islamists are waiting to move in there, too.
I love my country but the miserable pack of traitorous scoundrels who lead it are taking us off the edge of a bottomless chasm. I can only hope now that they go first.
Anybody with a brain knows that nobody can win a boots-on-the-ground war in Afghanistan.
Anyway, here’s my take on Afghanistan: the very second that OBL was dead, we should have exited at breakneck speed.
Yes, Afghanistan will revert once we’re gone. All that blood and treasure — for what?
As AOW said, anyone with a brain should have known (after failures by Brits back when we had power and then the Russians) that it was not winnable. As they should have known, given previous tensions in the region, that Iraq would never be a stable nation. Our leaders have no brains it seems.
Bang on most of the rest of it too, although I would not blame Obummer for Europe, the EU nuts have managed that by themselves.
