The mayors of Boston and Chicago jumped backwards in aghast revulsion the other day at Dan Cathy, the owner of the Chick-Fil-A restaurant chain’s announcement that he was for traditional marriage, and not homosexual marriage. They threatened to make it difficult to impossible for him to open restaurants in their cities because of his personal opinion. (Though there’s already one in Chicago.)
Today even the ACLU is telling them to back off, as that would be discrimination and a violation of Mr. Cathy’s right of Free Speech. Looks like Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino can go kiss goat butts, or fag butts, their preference.
As for my area, I see Bakersfield has a Chick-Fil-A restaurant, and I’m sure looking forward to a fine, fag-free dining experience. I mean, where can you go to eat in California anymore where there aren’t a couple guys or a pair of chicks kissing and rubbing each other? Why should 2% at most of the population have the right to offend the other 98% of us with their behavior? I don’t want it around me. That’s because I’m not queer. Can’t they figure that shit out?
How in the hell did we ever get to the point of calling queer behavior GAY? I’m glad to see that someone is standing up for Christian values and Chic-Fil-A will be getting more of my business.

There has been quite a dust up going on at my blog — as you noticed when you visited today. Some of the dust up has resulted from what was happening on the previous thread.
The blogging platform that I use doesn’t allow for banning IP’s. Ah, well. such is life — especially during an election year..
I’m going to make a point of it to go to Chick-Fil-A on Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, which is August 1.
Truth be told, I actually like some of the food at Chick-Fil-A. Besides that, I want to support that firm in this ridiculous atmosphere of understand-your-local-gays crap.

Blog comments: people need to focus on the threads instead of using blogs as forums for blowing off their dysfunctional behavior. It’s rude and for all the effort to sound erudite, comes off as moronic instead.
I’m still on a phase of this diet (See my post today), so I’m not quite sure which of Chick-Fil-A’s offerings I can eat. But Mr. AOW can certainly partake! And I will find SOMETHING that is allowed according to my diet, which has given me back the body that I used to have in my 30s. Not bad for a 60-year-old. Hehehe. As for blogging, well, I have students who read my blog. They’re getting an eyeful of the Left’s filth. It teaches them more than any lectures or presentations from me can.
That said, I have deleted several comments. I will continue to do so and, if necessary, will go into comment moderation — even though I despise babysitting my blog.
Now, if you want to see nasty, check out this thread at another blog. Steve in particular. If there is one vulgarity that lights up my board it is that c-word. The worst of his comments, a comment addressed to both Mr. AOW and to me, has been deleted. If he starts that shit at my blog, I’ll deal with it. I’ve got Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C.

I think you’d mentioned something before about being injured by an ILLEGAL ALIEN. Please, say ALIEN. Every dictionary there is defines Immigrant as a person who enters a country legally. Not illegally. Saying “illegal immigrant” is not only incorrect usage, it’s PC spin.

Re AOW’s comment above, indeed. If someone is rude, intolerant, violent most likely to be a lefty. Link gone now but a couple of years back there was an EU study of terrorist incidents in Europe. Excluding territorial disputes, ETA etc, the great majority were by leftist groups. They made Muslims look peaceful.

About my car accident, the illegal alien broke the law in other ways besides running the 4-way stop and barreling into me at 30-35 mph: lying to the police at the scene and not appearing in court for the accident hearing.

When I went to arbitration, I was told these words by the officer of the court when the insult of a settlement was pronounced: “The sympathies of the court lie with the poor immigrant. If it had been the other way around and you had hit him, he’d have taken you to the cleaners.’”
He had plenty of insurance — way more to cover my medical bills. As it turned out, I got a settlement less than my medical bills.

It sounds like accepting arbitration was a mistake. Letting a lawyer fight it out would very likely have gained you a lot more. The problem is that that process can take years, while an arbitrated settlement is quick.
That the judge would side with an illegal alien, even to calling him a “poor immigrant” would frost my you-know-whatzits. Liberal judges are one of the cancers eating away at us.
