Newsbleat, through our network of foreign correspondent spies in Iran, has discovered that the Iranian Supreme Leader, pictured above, will be sent into space a second time, because he survived the first trip when the parachute actually deployed in spite of a deliberately poor packing job. This time they might accidentally forget the parachute entirely, it’s rumored.

“Iran apparently failed in a 2011 effort to launch the Ayatollah into space. News reports out of the country at that time did not explain what went wrong, but the plan had been to send him into orbit atop a Kavoshgar-5 rocket.

A successful mission this time around would seem to advance Iran’s goal of sending an actual human into space by 2020 and an astronaut on the moon by 2025.

“Ayatollahs have similarities to humans, so with them in space, we can examine human factors in space,” Hamid Fazeli, head of the Iranian Space Agency, told Mehr News.

Our spies also report that secret negotiations have been entered into between the Iranian Space Agency and the N.R.A, to send Obama up next if this shot is successful and the Ayatollah fails to survive it.
