APATHY RULES

This morning the owner of the home just below mine was there, looking over the place, and told me of all the things that had been stolen from it. It seems that he’s also related to the owner of the home below that (we’re all on a hillside here) and he had a lot of things stored in the garage there.

The owner of that home had rented it out to a family of Mexicans, who moved out this week and cleaned out all the stuff stored in the garage. Yesterday they spent hours trying to move the large 5th-wheel travel trailer that’s in back of the house, but finally gave up. They didn’t own that trailer, either.

So this guy is going on about his losses and his attitude is “Oh well, too late now”. I would have been out looking for those Mexicans, me and all my buddies, and we would all be armed to the teeth and willing to shoot, but you know, I’m from the 60′s when we actually got up and took care of shit.

There’s a news segment on tonight about the illegal trade in tiger parts. Lots of Orientals still think that tiger parts can make them more virile or whatever, and the result is that there’s almost no tigers left. I don’t care, do you care? Ever even seen a real tiger anyway?

Same for great ape’s hands and feet and rhinocerous horns. Big money and getting bigger as the critters become scarcer and scarcer. So? Do you think it’s a shame? Yeah? What have you actually done about it, then, other than go Gee, that’s too bad?

The more of us there are and the more population pressure we create, with increasing competition for jobs and space, with dwindling resources of all kinds and increasing costs, then the more we have to concentrate on our own lives and the less time and caring we can give to anything else.

Apathy is the natural reaction, or lack of it, to increasing population, and extinctions are the natural result. Too bad for the tigers but they’re occupying space we need to expand into, and the same for many other species of both animals and plants. By the time human population has reached it’s maximum possible, the only tigers left will be some stuffed ones and some animatronic versions at Disney World.

Can you see it? There’s a news report that an actual tiger was seen in some Indian village, everybody goes Oh wow for 2 seconds and then immediately forgets it. No one cares.

Right now, America’s traditions and values are being shredded along with it’s Constitution by both parties in Washington D.C. and while many of us are going Oh golly gosh darn, no one is doing a single thing about it. No one is protesting in the streets, no crowds of college students shouting Burn the bra, burning their draft cards, parading to Stop The War, nothing. The days of protest are gone, all we have left is vestiges of a government-organized Occupy movement that was a bunch of crap to begin with and had no heart.

Tigers and the American Spirit, victims of apathy.

But yes, seriously, i think we have become an apathetic sorry excuse of a culture and people , mainly because people have no discipline, they are weak minded, lazy asses.
More addicted to entertainment, pro sports, porn, and their damn i-phones.
An entire generation of social retards, and me first.

  2. The owner of that home had rented it out to a family of Mexicans…

He should have expected nothing else from his tenants.

As for the destruction of America’s traditions and values and the present apathy, I am astounded by how many people who used to care and want to fight to preserve our traditions and values have pulled in and don’t seem to give a damn. These are people with children! WTH?
