In Weekly World News, whose stories I read with my tongue firmly imbedded in the left side of my cheek, it says that Congress is preparing to impeach Obama and that the festivities, I mean the proceedings, will begin on Monday, July 11, 2013. They supposedly have this information from Congressional representatives and offer this tidbit: “Members of Congress are reportedly beginning impeachment against Barack Obama based on the grounds of lying about Benghazi, the IRS scandal and attacking the press. Congress is also looking into his involvement in the unauthorized use of the military in Libya and Syria and the Fast and Furious scandal.”
No one else is reporting an actual starting date for the actual impeachment of this criminal, but there’s calls for his impeachment coming from all over and especially from the Republicans. Even the more liberal news media are starting to change their tune, or should I say their adoring hymns to Obama. Yes. I should.
UPDATE to the above paragraph: The NEW YORK TIMES, a loudly liberal organ that endorsed Obama for both elections, now says that he has “lost all credibility”, saying “The editorial board claimed Obama “is proving the truism that the executive will use any power it is given and very likely abuse it.” That’s a big one, coming from them. We may be delivered of him yet.
The polls are all over the place depending on who’s doing the reporting of them. One says that half of Americans now want Obama impeached, another that 47% now disapprove of Obama, and another that his job approval ratings are rising. They can’t all be true and chances are pretty good that none of them are.
What I’d like to see is a poll of news reporters, of all political stripes and colors, to see how they feel about Obama using the IRS to attack the media and thousands of reporters. There is where Obama really pushed his luck with the Liberal media, since most reporters aren’t his devoted fans even if many are liberals. Reporters must look into events to the hearts of them in order to find the stories that get them promoted to better positions and higher salaries, and no devotion to Obama can compete successfully with that.
Now that Obama’s crimes are finally getting at least some of the attention they deserve, and only because of his criminal use of the hated IRS against his adoring media, there’s a real chance that impeachment proceedings may actually be initiated. That he would be successfully impeached is doubtful at this point, but more scandals keep coming to light, their breadth continues to deepen and spread as more details come out, and eventually some truly higher-up, prestigious witnesses may give up the fight and come forward with their testimony. It’s very clear that Obama is trying to keep this from happening and the first potential, and possibly most dangerous, witness against him, Susan Rice, has just been promoted by him to National Security Advisor.
This is the same person who lied on national television, by saying that the Benghazi attack was a spontaneous uprising over some stupid, very short and totally unintelligible U-Tube movie that supposedly insulted Islam, when everyone already knew for a week that it was a planned terrorist attack on the anniversary of the Twin Towers attack in New York. It wasn’t for her lies that she’s now been promoted, it’s for her silence, and no one is fooled by this.
This is the sort of news that I’ve been waiting for. Just the thought that Obama may be getting impeached is enough to have me sitting on the edge of my chair. Lordy lordy. I’m not superstitious but what the hell, I’ll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
