There’s an old expression that was probably born in the early days of America, that goes “If you want a Free Press, then you need to own one.” Today, freedom of the press is mostly consigned to us bloggers, as all the other media is constrained by their own politics and the political powers that currently reside and you don’t see much honest reporting with any of them. The things that the American public has the greatest need to know are often the same things that no one will mention except bloggers.

It is the Internet that’s given us back some measure of Freedom of the Press, and it’s the Internet that has allowed people everywhere to openly share any content of their computers that they choose. The result of this has been the sharing of copyrighted material, governmental secrets, images abusive of children and others, terrorist manuals and other things rightfully illegal along with everyday material.

However, the Internet can’t be blamed, and it has been. Before the Internet, all those illegal things were being traded by other means. The Internet only provided a new and easier way. Yet our and other governments are using this trade as an excuse to take control of the Internet, or attempt to, once again attacking our access to a Free Press.

So I’m damn near exhilarated to inform you that a new file-sharing program has come into being that cannot be stopped, shut down by the government, seized by the government, or sued into oblivion. It’s called Tribler and you can read about it here.

“… it is based on pure peer-to-peer communication. “The only way to take it down is to take the Internet down,” the lead researcher says.”
Since most governments are so very heavily dependent on the Internet for their day-to-day operations, the chance of the Internet being taken down is zero.

Those who use the Internet for illegal purposes deserve appropriate punishment. When it comes to sharing music files, however, I do take a different view from those who made the music. It never used to be that musicians became millionaires from a single record or two, but now we have 17-year-olds making more money for singing a half dozen songs than a qualified, college graduate engineer makes in a lifetime, and that’s so out of balance with reality that it boggles. So if their income is reduced by file sharing, then I guess they’ll just have to be happy with all the $50,000, 2-hour concert appearances. After all, their fame is primarily the result of the Internet. If we gave them their fame, what do WE get paid for making them rich? A few free songs isn’t too high a price at all.

Tribler can be downloaded directly from the source, right here.

There are so many dumb things going on that I hardly know what to rant about first. A TV anchor woman was interviewing the people who rescued an 85 pound male mastiff from drowning in icy waters. Mastiffs are pretty much oversized pit bulls and look very much like pit bulls. They also act very much like pit bulls and this woman, a total stranger to this very excited dog, stuck her face about 3 inches away from the dog’s muzzle and it gave her a quick snap in the face. That extremely brief bite resulted in her needing surgery and being laid off for several weeks. Dumb. No one is really faulting the dog.

The latest edition of the handbook of psychiatrists and psychologists, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, is listing grief and shyness as forms of mental illness. Yep. True. This has a lot of shrinks wondering if it’s time the DSM, for short, had a new staff of writers, maybe people who aren’t trying to justify their jobs by creating problems where there aren’t any. I mean, if it ain’t broke, don’t start trying to fix it. Dumb.

The Oglala Sioux Tribe of South Dakota is demanding $500 million in damages for the cost of health care, social services and child rehabilitation caused by chronic alcoholism on the reservation, from various breweries, distilleries, liquor stores and other retailers of beer, on the grounds that it’s their fault the indians are getting drunk all the time. Help me out, I’m lost here. You mean that those brewery, etc. people are actually bending indians elbows, forcing those indians to drink when they’re desperately trying not to and barring their doors and windows against the importuning of the nefarious purveyors of spirits, all to no avail? The name of this lawsuit is: Stupid.

Obama is organizing a “Friends of Syria” group to go around China and Russia after they vetoed sanctions against the current Syrian regime. Obama is determined to give Syria over to the Islamic Brotherhood just as he did Egypt and Libya, one way or another. Really stupid.

Obama’s also decreed that health insurers must now cover the cost of contraceptives. The Republicans are making a huge issue of this. There’s no part of this that isn’t dumb.
If people want contraceptives, they can buy them pretty much anywhere now. Why insurers should provide them free is beyond understanding and on that part of it I agree with the Republicans. BUT the Republicans aren’t bothered as much by that as by the religious issue. They’re screaming “Assault On Religious Freedom”. Bullshit, I say! Catholicism is against contraception, so now this has become an issue of the state interfering with religion.
Frankly, screw that. Who cares except Pope Munster? Most Catholics use contraception in spite of the Church Doctrine and they’re happy to get the stuff for free. What the Right should be screaming about is the expansion of the Welfare State with this asinine giveaway. Let people buy their own damn rubbers and birth control. Stupid.

Some self-righteous idiots, and I suspect Liberal Jews on this one, are raising hell over a group of our snipers in Afghanistan who had a banner made up with “SS” on it, signifying Sniper Scouts. The type font is the same as the rock group Kiss uses. It also happens to be the same font that the infamous Nazi SS used. I doubt that any of those young guys was even slightly familiar with the type font of the Germans or what it meant from 67 years ago. They used the 2 “s”s from KISS. But, now they’re all being investigated and people are flapping and crapping and making a great big stink over it. Really really stupid.

So you see what I mean. I guess today is just Stupid Day. Which makes it not much different from yesterday or tomorrow, there’s just more shirttails hanging out today than usual, is all.

Chihuahuas are yapping little dogs that are primarily owned by neurotic blue-haired old ladies and effeminate men. Their purpose is mostly to take the place of the children their owners never had, and so are treated like toddlers and allowed to get away with behavior that no owner of a proper dog would ever accept. Chihuahuas are usually a pain in the ass to those of us who don’t want the nasty little beasties pissing and crapping on our carpets and yapping constantly. It’s my view that when animals come onto your property, you are entitled to kill them. Likewise your neighbor can do the same to your animals on his or her property. This doesn’t mean that you should. Depends on the situation, but animal owners are supposed to keep their animals on their own property. Period.

So. This guy has a neighbor who is now the former owner of a chihuahua, because the mutt went next door and started harassing this guy and he dispatched the critter with one accurate swing of a golf club. I assume he used a driver as the dog was lofted into the air for some distance before landing in a very deceased condition.

So far, my sympathies are with the golfer. I intensely dislike those nasty little yappers. They’re foul tempered and often are not even capable of being house-trained. Unfortunately for the golfer, the state of California is charging this guy with Felony Animal Cruelty and adding an “enhancement” to the supposed crime because he used “a deadly weapon”. He could go to prison for 4 years for killing that POS.

Excuse me? The dog must have died instantly. Where’s the cruelty? It’s a worse crime for using a golf club? Would it have been better if he stomped it to death instead of using some sort of weapon? Would that have been less cruel? And will someone please explain to me how it is that people can be sent to prison for years in California for killing a baby chicken or a rat-sized excuse for a dog, and be let off with probation for brutalizing a child? Because that’s how it is in the Land Of Insane Laws.

It’s a felony in California, a prison offense, as if you were a murderer or rapist, to sell horse meat and a somewhat lesser offense if you eat horse meat. So if you have a horse and it dies and you’re starving and you eat that horse, you’re a criminal. This is the same state that has sanctuary cities for criminals who enter our nation illegally.

This is where I’m moving back to, but I’m not unaware of the dangers and fortunately, I don’t golf.

“Gaza’s ruling Islamic militant Hamas is ready to cede power to an interim unity government led by its longtime rival, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, a spokesman said Tuesday.”

The plan is to set up a transition government that would prepare for elections in the West Bank and Gaza, with the idea of re-unifying the two areas to convince the Arabs who now run most of the UN to grant Palestinian statehood. This necessarily would mean that the new government recognize Israel and Israel’s right to exist and honor previous agreements with Israel.

What this means to me is that the Palestinian factions have given up on ever forcing Israel to let them create a state. They believe, probably rightly, that if they do become a state, and get UN recognition by lying about accepting Israel’s right to exist, that the other Arab nations will then back them against Israel.

That in turn means that the rocket attacks and incursions will continue as before, once they become recognized as a separate state, because the primary source of income for these people is donations from outside Arabs and the purpose of that money is to enable them to keep harassing Israel. That’s what the so-called Palestinian thing has always been all about.

The whole idea of creating a Palestinian state is to prevent Israel from taking the area back over again. Otherwise statehood is a side issue. The Israeli’s, however, have been steadily building new communities on what is basically their land, since it is NOT a Palestinian state and IS within the borders of Israel. Eventually they’ll have taken over most, if not all of it, for exclusively Jewish housing and this is, I think, behind this new move to consolidate Gaza and the Strip into one political entity. They have to, if they hope to gain statehood.

Okay, now here’s my point on all this. When Israel fought and won the 6 Day War, they took over and kept the Golan Heights, Sinai Peninsula, Gaza Strip and the West Bank, and they still have all but the Sinai Peninsula, which they kept until 1982. When Palestine becomes a state, then reneges on their agreements and attacks Israel, things will be different. No one can pressure Israel to be nice to “the poor refugee Palestinians”. International law cannot condemn them for attacking “helpless civilians”.

Israel will be free to bomb the Palestinians into total submission and occupy their little tiny country, and no one can blame them or have any right to complain. Israel will then do whatever they want. They will annex “Palestine” or whatever the little patch of dirt is named as being part of Israel and that will be that, just as the Golan Heights is part of Israel now and will never be handed back to Egypt.

Maybe then, finally, we can stop hearing about that bunch of filthy Muslims. It sure would be nice.

WASHINGTON DC—“Dozens of U.S. Park Police officers have converged on one of the nation’s last remaining Occupy sites and are inspecting tents there as they enforce the ban on camping.”

“The officers arrived before dawn Saturday at McPherson Square, just blocks from the White House, on horseback and in riot gear. There were no clashes between police and protesters, though a Park Police spokesman says four people were arrested for disobeying a lawful order.”

The Occupy Wall Street movement was applauded by Barack Hussein Obama from the start, which told all of us who bother to pay attention to these things that OWS was a bad thing. While the OWS people were invading public and private buildings and trashing them, taking over public and private parks and using them as campgrounds and toilets, and trashing them, at the same time Obama was speaking out loudly against the Tea Party movement which was doing none of these things and was behaving responsibly.

The Tea Party has grown in size and respectability both, with 3 out of every 10 Americans expressing support for it by July 2010. All the complaints, both real and manufactured, against some prominent members of the movement are all regarding statements that may have been made that some people took offense to. This doesn’t remotely compare to the filth, trash, crimes including property destruction, rape and assaults on police officers committed by OWS protestors.

The OWS will fade from public memory, but not too fast, I hope. Let’s keep those memories alive until Obama is booted out of office and keep reminding everyone until then that he supported the violence, the trash, the defecating on public sidewalks, the smashing of store windows, the rapes, the assaults. He supported that mob of anti-American scum. Let’s be sure everyone remembers on voting day.

A very long time ago in human terms, as much as 300,000 years ago, our planet was visited by an alien race of beings, who found it inhabited not only by by a vast variety of life but also by upright bipeds which were clearly evolving into intelligent, tool-using creatures.

These alien beings had very long lives, 600 to 800 of our years, which were the result of special genetic manipulation in order for them to survive the very long trips from one star system to another.

Just as we are now finding habitable planets of nearby star systems, they did likewise and had the Earth in their sights to visit long before they were able to actually build star ships capable of the voyage.

They took samples of Earth life, including some of our ancestors, of course, put them in deep freeze and went home to report their findings. It wasn’t long after that, that a much larger expedition was sent back here for research, and a base was set up. This was followed over the centuries by more expeditions and more bases. Earth was an incredibly rich source of new varieties of DNA, and genetic manipulation was the primary science of these aliens.

This is because their nature was, and still is, much like our ants, with workers specialized for specific jobs, as these people were an ancient race even back then and had developed into highly specialized physical types for specific functions. As they evolved socially and scientifically, their specialization needs evolved and changed as well, so new genetic specializations were always needed. Such as astronauts who could survive star travel.

The first base was set up on a high plateau in Africa near Lake Victoria, but there were problems from the start. The aliens were just as susceptible to infections and diseases as any other flesh and blood creature, and while most of Earths germs and bacteria didn’t bother them, there were still plenty that did. They’d wiped out virtually all forms of disease among their people centuries before, along with almost all other forms of life on their home planet as well, and the onslaught of our ever-mutating viruses alone was enough to force them to move their bases off-planet.

This was a real good thing for those early humans, since the aliens naturally had hoped to colonize Earth and it became quickly apparent that the only way that could happen would be to develop specialized forms of themselves that were immune to the vast array of infectious bugs, and doing this from remote bases in orbit required first developing the new types and then setting them up on Earth to see if they survived. In the end, it became clear that the best and easiest course was simply to genetically manipulate the existing, native hominids to increase their intelligence and tool-using abilities so they could function as slave workers for the aliens, while the aliens kept a safe and healthy distance.

As a result, Modern Tool-Using Man suddenly appeared on Earth with no apparent ancestors, about 200,000 years ago, capable of art and imagination, and moved out of Africa for no apparent reason, taking up residence anywhere they were able to walk to.

The aliens who were guiding and manipulating our ancestors reported regularly to the Great Minds on their home planet, who then made decisions about the ways and means of using Earth’s hominids, what observations were to be made and so forth. These reports took a long time to relay, since light-year distances had to be traveled each round trip. So changes often occurred in the development of humans that moved ahead of the intentions of the aliens. For instance, we began domesticating other animals even as we were being domesticated ourselves, and we began building better quality homes for ourselves than we were taught, and so forth. We were evolving faster than planned.

We were also breeding much faster than planned as a direct result of the improvements we were making in our own lives, and starting to crowd each other. The next thing you knew, we were going to war with each other, granted on a very small scale, but our little wars played hell with the aliens plans for our development and their projects.

Because the aliens are such an ancient race and their evolution has been carefully and deliberately controlled for so very many years, it never occurred to them that our evolution would take off in so many directions at once or be so rapid. Their efforts to insert their own genes into us to make us into them only succeeded in making us smarter and more independent. Our population grew so fast during their 100 year one-way trips home, and then back again, that it became impossible to control us any longer.

The best thing they could do, finally, was to give up the idea of colonizing Earth and instead mine it for minerals and knowledge. It happens to be a fact, as we humans have recently found out, that gold is very rare in the Universe. Gold only forms in supergiant stars, stars so huge that they go nova and explode into gas clouds when they’re still very young. These stars are the only ones that are big enough to transmute hydrogen into all the heavy metals including gold and lead, and when they go nova all that heavy metal becomes gas, which condenses along with all the other elements into planets like Earth. The Earth is a rare type of planet and gold is very useful.

Our solar system used to be a supergiant star, so other planets in our system also have gold. Mining gold on airless planets at subzero temperatures, or where the gravity would flatten a brick, or where the brick would melt, isn’t nearly as much fun as mining gold on the Earth, especially when the very capable hominids will worship the aliens as gods and mine the gold for them.

Very early on, gold became the metal of the gods. Humans have never found any use for it until very recent times, for body decoration, but otherwise it was useless to make tools or weapons out of, because it’s so soft. Since the gods clearly prized it, however, then we did too, as we prized anything that the gods liked. Long after the gods had abandoned most of us to pursue our own courses, we continued to lust after the useless stuff and even fought wars over it. For thousands of years, humans all over the world based their forms of currency and exchange on gold as the highest standard, instead of useful things like iron and copper, food and labor, and we still do.

So this is the way it’s worked out, or did up until about 600 years ago when the last gold-rich, superstitious, worshipful natives were conquered by others more advanced. That’s ended the last source of free gold-mining labor the aliens had, so they’ve had to come up with new methods to keep the flow of gold moving to their home planet.

Now they do their own gold extracting, from our ocean. There are plenty of gold sources underwater, especially considering that the ocean covers 2/3rds of the planet. Meanwhile we can go on having our wars without upsetting their mining efforts. It would be nice for them if we still worshiped them and thought they were gods and angels and so forth, as that certainly made things a lot easier for them, but getting the gold is the primary goal and it was simply a matter of devising new methods.

Science Fiction? Who knows…? This isn’t something that I believe actually happened, it’s just the result of a rambling mind and speculation on why we’re such greedy critters for something that has always been utterly useless to us. As far back as we can determine, gold has always been sacred. If you can come up with a better reason why, I’d really like to hear it.

The day before yesterday, Israel informed the Obama administration that Iran was building missiles with a range of over 6000 miles for the purpose of striking the United States with an atomic weapon.

The following day, yesterday, Feb. 2, 2012, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told Washington Post columnist David Ignatius he’s worried Israel may decide to attack Iran as early as this spring, and so Ignatius wrote “Panetta believes there is a strong likelihood that Israel will strike Iran in April, May or June”, exactly as Panetta had to have known that he would.

One thing that is NEVER done is reveal the attack plans of your allies. Unless you want to undermine their plans, of course. What Obama’s stooge Panetta is doing is playing both ends against the middle.

Obama wants Israel to wait until it’s too late to attack Iran. He’s repeatedly demonstrated his antipathy toward Israel and his lack of support of our only Middle East ally. His sympathies lie with the Muslims, not the Jews. By outing Israel, saying that it’s not just that Israel may attack Iran but that it WILL attack Iran, and giving an inclusive time period in which they’ll do so, he’s helping Iran to prepare for the attack.

At the same time, Obama is using the threat of an imminent Israeli attack to force Iran to finally capitulate and give up their atomic bomb program. Besides the fact that this is an extreme show of total disrespect of a highly valued ally by Obama, it will never work!

The Islamic dictatorship of Iran has completely ignored all sanctions and all efforts to make them give up their pursuit of nuclear weapons. They’ve delayed, lied and misled ever since their nuclear program began and that’s still the same tactics they use today. Trying to use Israel as a club, telling the Iranians that they only have until June at most before Israel will attack, accomplishes nothing and whoever thought that it would, Panetta probably, is a fool.

The Iranian response to all this has been a threat that if the United States backs Israel when Israel attacks, that Iran will attack the United States. Exactly how they think they can do that other than attacking some of our Navy ships, I don’t know and I doubt they do either. Our response to any such attacks would be massive and immediate and the Iranians know it.

Step back and take a long view for a moment. Egypt and Syria are both in turmoil. The riots in both nations are escalating and this has been going on for months now. The so-called Arab Spring has turned into an Arab Winter, and Obama’s hand has been right in the middle of it. The small influence that democracy has had is evaporating entirely with the march of Islamic rule, and both nations are allies of Iran. What better time for Israel to attack than when the allies of their enemy are involved in their own internal conflicts?

So if we assume that Obama wants Israel to be wiped out, and that seems to be a safe assumption considering his consistent behavior and attitude, then revealing their battle plans is also consistent behavior.

From that I can extrapolate that Obama is actually passing on secret information to Iran of Israel’s plans and capabilities, to further confound Israel. I really don’t think that’s too much of a stretch. This is one incredibly corrupt president we’ve given ourselves here, don’t forget. By revealing Israel’s plans publicly, Obama can then say that anything else Iran knows, they simply figured out because of it. It would be hard to prove otherwise.

I do hope Israel does attack and that Iran attacks some of our ships in retaliation. I would hope that none of our sailors get hurt or killed in the process, only that it inspires a massive counter-assault against Iran whether Obama likes it or not, and ends this insane dictatorship. Anything less may result in a conflict that expands ever outward until it involves the entire planet.

Donald Trump has decided that instead of running for president as an Independent and ruining any chance of a GOP candidate winning – because he’s so very very very popular that he would take away much of the vote from anyone the Republicans chose as a candidate – that instead he will give his endorsement to Mitt Romney.

Trump actually believes that, one, he really could throw the election of a president by running, himself, and two, that his endorsement actually matters to anyone.

Donald Trump is a really weird looking guy with little squinty pig eyes and a tiny mouth that automatically forms an O whenever his lips part, as if he were a Korean girl child or looking for his bottle. His reddish hair is shaggy in back and floppy in front and looks like a double comb-over and is the stupidest looking haircut of anyone in the entire nation, including Sean Penn. You would think that someone with as much money as he claims to have could afford a decent barber and have the sense to get a haircut that actually flatters him instead of making himself look worse than Ronald McDonald. I’m willing to bet his mother cuts his hair.

Donald was bloviating away on the Fox News tonight about how he gave Romney his endorsement and how grateful Romney was and how respectful Romney was toward him and how politely Romney asked him for it… It was enough to make anyone puke so I hope the cameramen were able to keep their feet, with all that slimy stuff on the floor.

It was quite a show, though. You seldom see anyone with an ego that huge. If you’ve ever seen any of the old newsreels of Dictator Mussolini of Italy from WWII, that’s a good comparison. Just falling-down drunk on their own power, both he and Trump. The difference is that Mussolini’s power was real whereas Donald Trump’s power ends with the limit of his wallet. Trump is cheap and considered to be the Ebeneezer Scrooge of the charity world. He won’t spend much money on anything, including barbers, and he won’t give much, if anything, to Romney other than his worthless endorsement.

If I were Mitt Romney I’d be embarrassed as all hell over the way Donald crowed and boasted at Romney’s expense on national television. If we could harness this gasbag’s hot air to run generators, we could power New York City.

He claims to have “Seven billion fucking dollars in the bank”, his words, and actually sued a reporter who questioned the truth of that sum. I question it too. He may have his name on assets that are around that amount but I bet a lot of other people also have stakes in the pile. If I own a billion-dollar hotel but I owe $990 million on it, I DO NOT have a $billion in the bank. I don’t know that’s the case but the guy is such a pompous, self-inflated braggart that it wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

Well, who knows. I may get lucky and the jerk will sue me, too, then I can make lots of money selling my story. Meanwhile don’t expect to see Mitt Romney much for a few days, he’s probably going to hide until his red face fades back to normal color.

On CNN (where else?) comes this opinion piece by one Laura Schmidt, medical sociologist (whatever the Hell THAT is), telling us “Why we should regulate sugar like alcohol”.

The reason she gives is that it causes obesity and liver damage and some very obese children are needing liver transplants already from their excessive intake of sugar.

Her solution is “gentle “supply side” controls, such as taxing products, setting age limits and promoting healthier versions of the product — like making it cheaper for a person to drink light beer rather than schnapps.” In other words, government micro-management of our diets. Typical Liberal knee-jerk reaction. Force us all to be healthy.

I have a better idea, which is to let Nature take it’s course, let the Bloated Pig types of people eat themselves to death and get them the hell out of the gene pool. The whole reason we have so many defective humans being born of late is entirely because we didn’t allow them to die off naturally. So they grow up and reproduce, increasing the defectiveness of our overall gene pool.

People like Ms. Schmidt are well-meaning but have absolutely no eye to the future. They never consider the long term consequences. Natures Law is and always has been survival of the fittest. We can’t keep saving our defectives and breeding with them, and expect us to keep getting stronger as a species.

It used to be that people had a lot of children in the expectation that many of them would die young. Only the hardiest lived. Not today, today most people have only one or two children and they expect them all to live regardless if they’re born with heart defects, hereditary diseases, severely premature, severely retarded, their organs outside their bodies and otherwise physically malformed. Parents can’t be blamed for wanting their babies to live and grow up healthy and happy, but foods like sugar can’t be outlawed anymore than genetically defective people can be outlawed.

People can’t be told what they can eat, and they can’t, as adults, be told who can have consensual sex with whom, and expect to live in a free society at the same time. Legislating our diet is dictatorship.

Oman’s leader, Sultan Qaboos (as in caboose) is assuring the US that Iran’s nuclear program is only for peaceful purposes, at the same time that Iran is now requesting new talks with the United States out of one side of it’s mouth while threatening the US with terrorist attacks and war out of the other.

Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, America’s top intelligence official, told Congress Tuesday that an emboldened Iran is “now more willing” to launch an attack inside the United States.

While Leon Panetta, our whiskey-soaked Leftard Defense Secretary, says it would probably take Iran “about a year to be able to produce a bomb and then possibly another one to two years in order to put it on a deliverable vehicle of some sort in order to deliver that weapon,”
top aides to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu insist the timeline is a lot shorter, and suggested in Sunday’s New York Times Magazine they may launch a unilateral strike against Tehran.

Vice Prime Minister Moshe Ya’alon told the magazine it’s only a “matter of months” before Iran has nuclear capability. Defense Minister Ehud Barak declared in the same article that if action is not taken soon “it will not be possible” to stop Tehran from gaining — and potentially using — nuclear weapons.

In response, General Masoud Jazayeri of Iran’s Joint Armed Forces Staff said, “We will rigorously confront any threat or hostile behavior, and our response will be definitely regretful and destructive,” adding: “History will remember whether the Americans or Iranians were bluffing.”

The Israelis have the worlds best intel, and they’ve proven this many, many times over. If they say within a couple months, I believe them and not that sack of flab Panetta.

Obama’s policy is apparently to keep deferring the date when Iran will have nukes until they actually have them, when it will be too late to do anything about it, and to keep pressuring the Israelis to do nothing as well. The Islamic agenda is to eradicate Israel, and while the various factions of Muslim Arabs are always looking for ways to destroy each other, they are unanimous when it comes to getting rid of the Jews. To this end they will lie and pretend and placate, just as Sultan Caboose is doing now, because while most of them don’t want Iran to have nukes either, their desire to kill Jews is stronger.

It’s almost laughable. It’s 2012 now and the Mayan prediction of doom will be increasingly on people’s minds, but a global disaster coming to us from space somehow is the least likely event we face. We’ve been capable of destroying civilization and wrecking the planet for at least 50 years and we just keep on getting better at it.

Any thinking person can see how an attack on Iran by Israel could escalate into global war, considering the volatile nature of Arabs and all that oil they sit on. The same is true of an attack on Israel by Iran. All that diplomacy and threat-counter threat stuff only works for so long before the fireworks begin.

I sure hope I can get moved back to California before July.

I don’t have a Facebook account. I don’t post on Twitter. I don’t use Google+, or any other social networking website.

My websites and this blog, which is also a separate website, all have privacy locks on my domain server, who I pay a yearly fee to host them rather than use any of the free services. None of my email accounts contain any reference to my name.

I try to stay as completely anonymous as I can on the Internet. Why? Partly because of incredibly stupid things like this:

US Bars Friends Over Twitter Joke

That’s the headline in a British tabloid, The Sun, reporting on two young people who left comments for each other on their Twitter accounts in advance of a trip to Los Angeles. Let me tell you, it takes a long time to fly from London to L.A., I know because I’ve done it, and it costs like Hell, too.

These unfortunate kids were making jokes and using Brit slang that our ever watchful and incredibly overzealous Homeland Security agents found and pounced upon. One used the expression “destroy America”, meaning “Party Hearty”, and the other joked about digging up Marilyn Monroe. For that latter one their luggage was actually searched for digging tools. They were questioned for 5 hours, then handcuffed and locked up in separate cells for 12 hours before being barred from entry into the country and put on a plane back to England.

I hope they successfully sue my country for a huge sum.

From this it should be apparent to all that anything you say on any social networking site will be read by computers belonging to the various, nefarious, investigative arms of our government, that none of these government people have a fucking brain in their heads, and no matter how obvious it may be that they’re chasing a phantom chimera of their own devising, they will not waver. If it’s you they’re after, it’s you they’re gonna get.

You have absolutely NO PRIVACY on any social networking site. Nothing you say will be taken at face value by our government and very likely yours as well, if you aren’t an American. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU and you damn well better watch yourself.

The Dutch cabinet has taken another step closer to banning the Islamic burka, that tent-like garment that covers Muslim women from the top of their heads down to the ground, with only a slit in front of their eyes to see through, making good on an election promise that is largely symbolic but has broad public support. In order to keep this from being a religious issue, the pending law bans all garments that cover the face including ski masks. France and Belgium have already banned wearing the burka in public.

Anti-Islam lawmaker Geert Wilders, who has pushed for this for some time, has heralded it as “fantastic news.” The Associated Press article on this claims that only about 300 women in the Netherlands wear the thing, and generally not in public.

The Muslims have been purposely dressing their women up in those cloth prisons and sending them out in public to go shopping or just be seen in public places in their effort to get people used to the idea and facilitate shoving Islam down the throat of Europe. The Europeans are shoving back, however.

One of the Muslims little tricks has been to insist that their women get drivers license photos taken while wearing what amounts to masks, claiming it would violate their religion for the women to show their faces. It’s exactly this sort of thing that’s led to the banning of burkas altogether.

The law must still be approved by both houses of the Dutch Parliament. If the Dutch follow through on this, that will be three burka-free EU nations. Hopefully they will and more will follow.

I was only in Saudi Arabia once, at Ras Tanura, and the best part of the visit was when I left. The women in public there were all covered in those black burkas, and it was HOT. I walked on the opposite side of the street to avoid even coming near them because of the extreme danger of violating some aspect of Sharia law as an “infidel”.

Oh, by the way, my “Infidel” tee shirt has arrived. I’ll try to get a picture of me in it to post later on. Everyone of us infidels should have at least one and wear it proudly.

First, Iran threatens to block up the Strait of Hormuz because the sanctions against them are starting to bite. They even tried to show us how serious and menacing they are by conducting “Strait-blocking exercises” with their little navy.

Our response was to cruise past their little navy with one of our aircraft carriers and its accompanying strike force of destroyers and cruisers. So after we were safely out of sight, they “warned” us never to enter the Strait with another aircraft carrier. So we went back through with two of them.

The latest sanctions include freezing the Iranian State Bank’s overseas assets and a moratorium against doing business with that bank, and the EU has started an embargo against Iran’s oil. The inability of Iran to sell their oil will crash their already foundering economy and likely bring down that oppressive, lunatic government.

So. How do the Iranian Lunatic Imams In Charge respond to this? They are “preparing to discuss a ban on crude sales to European Union countries in retaliation for an EU embargo” and are threatening them with crude reaching $120 to $150 per barrel, and this will supposedly impact the US as well.

In other words, if they can no longer sell their oil because no one will buy it, they will ban the sale of it. That ought to teach us, eh? And note that they aren’t actually discussing doing this. They are “preparing to discuss it.” I sure hope they let us know when they’re actually ready so we can prepare to discuss shaking with fear.

The Iranians claim that they can find new customers for their oil. That should be interesting to watch, since all oil production is geared directly to global demand. You can’t sell people more oil than they need. I mean, where would they put it? Right now oil is $100 a barrel. Iran produces about 5% of the worlds oil, so how will cutting off that 5% cause the price to go up by half again? Answer: It won’t.

Typical Muslim jackasses. Wave their arms, gape their mouths open and scream curses in Arabic, make dire threats, and it’s all a bunch of nothing.

This is way off my usual topics, so I hope it finds some interest.

I downloaded the MMOG Perfect World this morning, which took about 2 and a half hours, on high speed cable, before all the files were loaded in and the thing was finally functional. So I fired it up and started to play.

The very first thing that was glaringly obvious was that my mouse was inverted. After looking through every available game option I couldn’t find any place to invert the mouse, so then did a Google search to see if someone else had the answer.

Nope. The answer is that this game, created in China, with massive graphics files and highly intricate game play, made no allowance whatever for inverting the mouse. Unbelievable!

I’ve been a video gamer since Pong. I used to operate a bunch of those big upright boxes with Centipede and Pole Position and all that, years ago, that I’d placed in bars, cafes and so forth. When the Internet came out and you could hook up to Descent and Duke Nukem on Kali, I was an early member of Kali, bought all the games and played them regularly. I’ve played nearly every online game there is that was any good at all. Tribes, DAOC, WoW, LOTRO, it’s a long list, and every one since the very earliest ones provided an Invert Mouse option. After all those years of fitting my hand-eye coordination into that one specific groove, trying to play in reverse is more than I care to deal with for just one game.

The PW forum has over 40 requests going back 4 years asking the game designers to add that Invert Mouse option, and the thread is closed and the request ignored.

This game will never make much money outside of China, because so many of us play with the x and y axis reversed. Why am I going on about this? Because………

This is typical of the way the Chinese do things. It seems like everything they make is left partly unfinished. Look at all the different products they’ve sent over to us with all the defects in them. Poison paint on baby toys, substitute chemicals in infant formula that destroyed babies livers, toothpaste with anti-freeze in it, defective tires, the list is very long and the lawsuits against China are many.

The Chinese are incapable of producing anything without trying to cut corners to save money. Poverty has been the Chinese norm for many thousands of years and they simply can’t help trying to do everything as cheaply as possible to increase profit. Profit is survival to them so once something is being manufactured, the expense of having to change it horrifies them.

Because of this, I think the Chinese military capability is a lot less than advertised. A lot of their stuff will very likely malfunction when used. A lot more that they’re building now to compete with us may never get built, as making the continual design changes necessary in any advanced piece of military hardware will likely take them much longer than it would us to accomplish.

Personally, I try to avoid Chinese goods (or “bads” as I call them) just because of their poor quality. I just hope our military isn’t using any of their crap.

FOX news website has an article headlined “Taliban has a softer look but can it be trusted?”

As soon as I read that headline I knew what the comment section was going to be like and sure enough, everyone was asking who the idiot was who wrote it. NO! Of course not! Trust the Taliban?

Previously I was going on about humor, and this kind of stuff is funny in a very macabre way. The Taliban are the people who supported bin Laden. They’re the ones who brutalize women at every chance, forcing the populace to fill the stadiums to watch women be shot in the backs of their heads or buried up to their shoulders and murdered by stoning, closing schools to females of any age, raping any girl of any age whenever they felt like it. Rapists, terrorists and murderers, every one of them.

So hey, let me ask you, uh, whaddya think? Think we should trust them? Negotiate with them? Gee, do ya think it would be okay?

Obama does.

He wants to negotiate their takeover of Afghanistan. Seriously. That’s why he wants to negotiate with them. But here’s the facts: The day we leave Afghanistan the Taliban will move right in and take over and do it their way, and go right back to murdering and brutalizing women just like before. Any negotiations between them and Obama will be no more than piss in the wind regardless of what papers are signed and agreements are made.

Like all these horribly backwards, Stone-Age countries, there are two warring sides, in this case the Pashtuns and the Tajiks. The Pashtuns are allied with the Taliban.

“With the overthrow of the Taliban, the ethnic Tajiks who made up the bulk of the Northern Alliance considered themselves the victors. At the Bonn Conference held in Germany in December 2001 to create the future Afghan government, the Northern Alliance Tajiks demanded and got the most important ministries. Given Afghanistan’s demographics, everyone knew they needed an ethnic Pashtun as president, and Abdullah Abdullah, who was then with the Northern Alliance, pressed the case for Karzai.”

Which is why a Pashtun is president of Afghanistan. Ending Taliban rule pretty much mellowed things out, but a resurgence of the Taliban will mean a resurgence of the decades old Afghan civil war, because the Tajiks flat out won’t stand for it.

Now, not that I give a hoot, mind you. Arab Muslims love the fighting, the blood and death, the screaming, terror, misery, mutilation and gore. They really do adore it and I’m fine with that as long as they keep it in their yard and don’t start playing in mine.

When the Twin Towers were knocked down, global response was such that we could have actually nuked Afghanistan and no one would have held it against us. Unfortunately, G. W. Bush, the closet Liberal, was president, whose house is closely entwined with the Saudi Royal house. So he sent a token force there to chase rumors of Osama while gathering the might of our forces in planning the invasion of Iraq for their oil.

The need for our involvement in Afghanistan ended when Osama was killed. They will never have a democracy there in a 100 lifetimes, if ever. We have no excuse at all now for having a single soldier there and the sooner we get out, the sooner they can go back to doing what they love the most. Killing. As far as using the hellhole for a drone base to attack al Qaeda in Pakistan, we don’t need that either.

What we need to do at this point, and we really do, is to pull everyone out and tell those Islamic scum in both countries that if there is one more attack on American soil that we can trace back to Pakistan or Afghanistan, that we will nuke them into oblivion. The only way this is going to ever end is by massive force.

Can we trust the Taliban? Is your name Mohammad?

No offense to anyone, but… I’ve found that women of our species have very little sense of humor compared to men. Not being sexist, or trying to be anyway, and I don’t know why there should be a difference, but there is. Women find things funny the same as men, they just don’t seem to CREATE humor and jokes the way men do. Maybe women just don’t look for the humorous side of things to begin with.

It’s said that women are more emotional, generally, but I don’t think either sex is more so than the other. Women just express their emotions differently. Women tend to use emotions as weapons of manipulation. Men don’t. Things like that.

In my life I’ve read all the great philosophers and many lesser ones and not one of them is a woman. Whenever I’ve tried to talk philosophy to a woman I bored the hell out of her. Humor is a form of philosophy, and making a joke out of a bad situation is simply a philosophical way of looking at it.

There are some women among the great comedians of the world. Lucille Ball, Phyllis Diller, Lilly Tomlin for older examples. I confess I haven’t kept up with recent ones of either sex. However, the number of female stand-up comedians is on the rise and I think I know why.

The role of women has changed a lot. A whole lot more women have become independent the way men are as the institution of marriage continues to lose favor. The role of women has changed. The more women take on the outlook of men and see things from the male perspective, the more they adopt philosophical thinking and thus are more likely to create humor rather than just respond to it.

That’s my take on it, anyway.

Next morning: I see no one has called me a sexist bastard yet but I’m still waiting. One must allow a grace period for these things.

Sgt. Pat Shearer of the Peoria, Arizona police department is now under investigation by the FBI after posting a photo “of seven young men, four with guns, holding up a gunshot-marked T-shirt featuring an image of the US president above the word “hope,” on Facebook.”

Well, maybe they ought to investigate me too, since I share the same hope that something will happen to that miserable, Marxist son of a bitch to get him out of office. Me and I bet millions of other Americans as well, if the eight people involved in the above news article are any clue.

I’ve noticed that Obama’s hair is turning white after only 3 years in office and I can’t help wondering if fear is what’s causing it. He knows full well the lies he’s told and keeps telling, and the mess of corruption he’s upper-lip deep in, so he probably should be scared.

This guy is the worst president We The People have ever been saddled with and I’d love to see him bucked off. He’s ridden that horse long enough. My preference would be through impeachment, though. Our presidents should be kept safe from harm if for no other reason than to keep America from looking like a banana republic.

A long time ago, relatively speaking, when I was in my 20′s, I took a good long look at old people and thought about what they meant when they spoke of maturity.

I realized that maturity generally means accepting the physical changes that come with life, and learning to sit back and let the younger generation take over while you slowly succumb to the pains, aches, illnesses and disabilities of old age. It sure looked like bullshit to me and I wanted none of it.

To this day I have never accepted maturity. My body has certainly aged, and acquired some of those creaks and wrinkles and so forth, but that’s gonna happen. The difference is that I don’t accept an aging body as being what I am. I am not mature. Looks like I never will be, either.

A couple weeks ago I checked in at the clinic with some minor problems and also had a little skin blemish looked at and the doctor started going on about cancer. Which it isn’t, but anyway I told her that I don’t believe in cancer. She clearly thought I was either slightly nuts or getting senile, but I don’t. Never have. I think most people who get cancer believe in it. I do know that a lot of illness is brought on entirely by mental attitude and nothing else, that we can come down with the flu or a cold because we allowed something to get to us and bring us down mentally. I’ve warded off the onset of a bug many times by simply sitting down and figuring out what was bothering me, and dealing with it.

I believe in being healthy. So I am. I believe that I will wake up in the morning, and so I do. I believe that whatever difficulty I face in life, I will overcome it, and I’ve overcome some of the most horrendous crap you could imagine and I’m still here and feeling pretty fine.

Life is not fair. Some of us have it soft all our lives but most of us don’t. Most of us beat our way through life and get beat up in the process until finally we’re all beat down and ready to go, looking forward to it even. But life isn’t unfair either and the only reason we get beat down is because we don’t keep standing up. Life is funny. Literally, life is a comedy, there’s humor everywhere, even in the darkest moments and the saddest things – although I do freely admit that there’s a hell of a lot less laughs in that particular department. But maybe that’s the thing of it for me. I always end up laughing at what hurt me the most.

I am a philosophical type, ain’t I.

Yesterday, Wednesday, I called our local grocery store and the only store we have at all hereabouts, in fact, to see if they had any cardboard boxes that I could start packing with. LO, the gal who answered said Yes, that tomorrow (now today) was Freight Day and they’d have a big load of boxes and I could have all I wanted.

Hey, stay with me. This is important. Have you PRICED cardboard boxes lately?

So this morning I drove the old pickup over and there were three bins filled with excellent empty boxes with the lids intact, and I loaded up about 35 of them inside the pickup bed canopy where they’d stay dry.

On arriving home I opened the canopy lid and dropped the tail gate, and AT THAT INSTANT, the rain stopped, the sky cleared, the sun came out AND A GOLDEN BEAM OF LIGHT SHONE DOWN UPON MY HEAD. Oh Yes, Brothers and Sisters, The Force was WITH me, the POWER was upon me and I proceeded to pack boxes all day in the glorious sunlight, halleleujah!

Today was the first full day of warm sun we’ve had in over two months now, and it came on the day I decided to go ahead and start packing in anticipation of getting the Hell out of here. You couldn’t ask for a more sure sign than that, that The Great Whatzit In The Sky or wherever it is approves of my efforts to leave here. I mean, can you? Of course not.
