MARKING TIME

Approaching another mislocated winter solstice date, this one provided us by the Romans a few thousand years ago along with Christmas, Tax Day April 15 and other blessings, is soon upon us. Yes, New Year’s Day will soon be here, an excuse for a lot of people to get drunk, behave stupidly and more will die than on a normal day. But it’s also a genuine day of new beginnings for many, too, who will set forth into their futures with heightened determination to achieve their goals. New Year’s Day is the traditional day to make positive resolutions about ourselves and our futures, and a few of us will succeed. The rest will forget all that and continue as before.

All the little forest animals, like deer and squid and iguanas, will be oblivious to this human foible of dividing the flow of time into clumps and parcels because those divisions are all illusionary, we do it for the sake of reference mostly, not just for days to party and celebrate. Though the way we act, you’d never know that.

The need for a New Year’s Day is simply the fact that a year is one orbit of the Earth around the Sun and in our ineffable wisdom we humans know that it has to start and end sometime and it’s up to us to say when. So we can get drunk and celebrate the end of another really awful year and gird our loins and other parts for what’s coming down the pike.

Until, of course, we get so many years behind us that it all just fades into The Long Blur. The yearly anniversary of my birth follows soon after the New Year and an odd thing is going on. Before I was grown up I, wanted to be, so I wished for the years to pass to become an adult. Then I wished for them to stop passing so I would stay young, and now I watch with pleasure as they keep passing and I’m still alive and healthy. Isn’t it amazing how perspectives can change with time when you have lots of reference points in the chronological continuum?

ZAP! YOU’RE AN ANDROID

A pie chart I saw on Whatfinger.com this morning got me to thinking.

Tesla is a helluva lot more diversified than just car making, of course, the company is a leader in AI and robotics as well. It’s that valuation that really catches the eye, though. $1.6 trillion. Another valuation that matters is the weekend closing spot price of silver, which ended at $80 an ounce. EIGHTY DOLLARS AN OUNCE. Had to repeat that, I mean, Holy Crap. A few months ago it was half of that and what happened is the Chinese, who’ve been buying and hoarding tons of silver for years, have run out of it because they make so much of the techie shit we yuppie guppies Must Have, that all uses silver. The shortage is because their silver isn’t directly mined, it’s a by-product of mining coal and other minerals, and the ore grades are degrading.

So the Chinese have single handedly inflated the price. Supply and demand, that’s how it works. If they’ll pay $80 an ounce, that’s what the world price is. I happen to own over 800 ounces of it, so of course this price increase is very nice and I may even learn to speak Mandarin in appreciation. I may learn to sing in Mandarin if it hits $100, and it very well may. But that’s not my point, which is…

Elon Musk is deeply involved in China’s economy, he sold far more Teslas there than anywhere else, plus they’re still making them there and the batteries are made there. Elon’s also deep into the USA military-industrial complex, building god-knows-what for the military along with being an AI contractor, and his Optimus robot development is no doubt involved in that as well along with NeuraLink and StarLink and everything else he’s doing because he’s also deeply connected to the US government. “Dept. of Government Efficiency”, for example.

I know, I haven’t clarified my point yet. It’s coming. Elon’s relationship with the Chinese shifts with the economic winds, and China’s been making a lot more electric cars now, and cheaper, than Teslas, and Elon’s market share over there has collapsed because of it. I don’t know about Europe but there’s no Chinese cars sold over here in the USA, clear evidence that such sales are blocked by our government to boost Tesla. Elon has a Conflict of Interest now more than ever because of his dealings in China, which is why he’s built Tesla factories in the USA, has invested in rare earth mines and processing here and is building batteries here, now. He’s not alone, there’s other recent US startups in these fields. A lot of manufacturing is returning to the US but not the solar panels and other things requiring silver, and the more it costs, the higher the price, the slower the sales. Then China pays tariffs on top of it.

The wars being fomented against Venezuela, Columbia and the Mexican cartels by our government aren’t about drugs, they’re about oil and minerals. Venezuela has vast untapped oil and Mexico has the largest unmined silver reserves, while Columbia has lots of gold in the ground. Our government can’t form a Western Hemisphere Economic Bloc with nations like Venezuela being run by low IQ dictators who cozy up to China, so it’s necessary to get rid of them. One way or another. Because this is a war over technological advancement and dominance, boundary lines have to be enforced.

Check this: China keeps increasing their threats of invading Taiwan and trying to scare everyone away from defending them, so the US and Japan, instead of backing off, sell more advanced arms to Taiwan to defend themselves, and declare their intentions of coming to Taiwan’s aid if attacked. Recently the Chinese threatened to blockade Taiwan, yet this is something they’ve always been able to do and have never done because it would start a fight with the US. Now they’re building a big navy and making loud threats again, so the US is suddenly going hell bent for leather building new ships too. Both at least appear to be rapidly arming up against each other. Footnote 1.

So. China in the East developing new tech as fast as they can and needing to sell stuff to pay for it, the US doing the same. Robotics advancing like crazy, East and West sideline nations waiting it out and AI is the key because AI will provide the knowledge that makes the difference. Not the drones or the robot warriors being built, but the most correct maneuvers will establish final dominance. The war is territorial, technological, industrial, economic and political and the world deliberately created this situation. It was grossly obvious when Nixon opened China to free trade with the USA that this was going to happen, the Chinese government was aggressively Communist and even I saw right then where this was going to lead. The more they profited, the more aggressive they’d become and that’s exactly how it unfolded from the very start.

We could have shut this down at any time but instead encouraged our industries here to fold up and ship them all to China along with all the knowledge and technology, while creating a lot of unemployment and sudden poverty here.

All this stuff was planned out decades ago. The clash between East and West is orchestrated and the final winner will either be a big desert or technology. No idea which, which is what makes it all so fascinating and fun to watch. Footnote2

Footnote 1: “Appear” to be arming up against each other because while they are arming up it may not be against each other, it may be a guise to cover an actual intent to attack entirely different nations instead. Additionally, there’s been loud complaints within the US military about depleting the US reserves of bombs and artillery shells by shipping them all to Ukraine, but this may be to make way for entirely new types of munitions while making us look shorthanded to China. Smoke and mirrors.

Footnote 2: The constant clash between the US and China, the repetition that China is the enemy, the competition between us, sure smells to me of rotting fish and has for a long time. If they’re such terrible and dangerous enemies, then why are we so tied up in each other’s economies? This is comparable to selling bombs to Nazi Germany and buying their submarines.

What if the real plan is exactly what George Orwell envisioned? He foresaw an endless fake war between East and West that dominated everything else on the planet. In short, a Global government pretending to be at war to maintain a constant state of martial law, and isn’t that what’s developing now? look at the preparations for it in the EU, Canada and Australia where they’re all going Marxist-type Socialist now. Those governments don’t serve the people, they enslave and own them, and the USA will follow suit like it always has in the past.

The East and West becoming a united Economic Bloc and using their advanced Techno military to split the world in half and control everyone on the planet. Could be?

HO HO HO and other expressions

Merry Christmas to all you many billions of Newsbleat readers throughout the galaxy. Eat too much, open lots of presents, get drunk, get laid, all that great stuff.

On the coming anniversary of the birth of a Jewish/Christian religious figure, being celebrated on a date other than his actual birth date, but that’s okay, I’d like to point out that the Jews maintained strong connections to their ancient religion even though they had no nation for nearly 2000 years and I would argue that having a nation may not be necessary or a good thing.

It’s constantly under attack. Jews, in their Diaspora, established communities in almost every nation on Earth and by most of them coming back together in one place, in Israel, they’ve made themselves vulnerable to being wiped out en masse. There’s still a lot of Jews in other places, there’s a large population in the USA, but of the roughly 20 million of them worldwide, nearly 8 million are in Israel, surrounded on all sides by bitter enemies and involved in endless local conflicts. I understand their attachment to their ancient homeland. Sometimes it’s a good thing to just let go of the past.

SMARTER

All my work has been done for years on a Win7 Hewlitt Packard computer. I have an H.P. Win10 Envy that I use for gaming and updated it to Win11, and have made it my main PC because everything’s advanced so much past Win7 that a lot of programs just won’t work on it and websites won’t load. Besides that, the Envy is almost instantaneous, websites load in less than a second that take a half minute on the older PC. And something that stands out is how smart all the software is getting.

I play a solitaire game called Free Cell fairly often and bought the updated version of it when I switched computers for daily use. It looks the same as it always did but it doesn’t act the same. All I have to do is click on any card or group of cards and if it’s playable, it does so correctly and instantly, instead of me having to “grab” it with the mouse and move it where I want it. I mean, that’s really smart. I’m kind of amazed. There’s other things, a lot of Internet content I didn’t ask for keeps popping up in my face when I load a link sometimes, trying to pull me over to a different page, asking for personal information, all kinds of crap that my old pc never showed me because it couldn’t recognize the advanced HTML or whatever code they’re using now. If your browser software can’t interpret it, you won’t see it and I quit writing in HTML over 20 years ago, it was growing and changing too fast to keep up.

My browser is Firefox and it updated itself when I updated the pc, and it’s SMARTER. It remembers everything. It came close, before, but it’s smarter now. Win11 is smarter. Kinda too much smarter, and stupider in some ways. Some of the “upgrades” make some things actually take a lot longer to do now than before because so much has been packed into menus and shell extensions that used to be either links directly on the page or small, minimal menus. Now the menus are so long they run to two pages that you have to scroll through and it’s truly an asspain.

Microsoft has always operated on the principle of “It doesn’t need fixing so lets break it”. They probably do this to make the old OS obsolete to get everyone to buy the new OS. I’ll never forget what a clusterfuck of bugs Windows 95 was. It CONSTANTLY crashed. One update after another. By the time they finally got our $100 OS purchase working mostly right, Windows 98 came out.

But yeah, they’re a lot smarter now. So is AI and it’s really scaring the shit out of a lot of people who know what’s going on. I have to get scared shitless by proxy because I don’t know what’s going on but I believe them when they say they do. One thing that’s happening faster than the average uncaring Obliviate, which is my word for over 99% of humanity, realizes is that AI has started putting people out of work right now, and in 3 years or less, probably less, it will be doing a hell of a lot of jobs that people do now and those people will be out of work. You don’t have to have a robot machine, all you need is a fast computer accessing an AI mainframe and it will do everyone’s income taxes, send invoices, bills, mail out checks or auto-deposit payments and payouts, and on and on. Cars and trucks without human drivers are all over the highways now and there’s going to be a lot more. No more taxi, Uber or truck drivers. Auto-delivery of packages by drones is ongoing. The age of AI and smart robots has begun. It’s not coming, it’s here. It’s just young yet, is all.

AI is going to put the larger part of humanity out of work and government welfare systems will be quickly overloaded and unable to keep up with feeding and housing everyone. So the natural solution is to get rid of them, and that means either war or disease or a combination thereof. Chairman Mao starved millions to death to get rid of them but I don’t think the Europeans can do that. Donald Trump & Co. have started deporting them. There’s at least 40 million here that can be kicked out, and most of them are on welfare, so that would really help. Then if he can get a good Vietnam-style war going over in Venezuela and Bolivia and get lots of young Americans killed along with them bringing back the Jungle Crud and other killer diseases, that would help too. The Europeans already have their own solution, they’re going to war with Russia to ease the population problem and will probably start some sort of disease epidemic to help it along.

Make no mistake, the population will have to decline rapidly and by a lot as AI takes over the world. Consider, the larger a population, the more profit from a successful product because, more sales if there’s more people. So if AI robots make everything you want for the asking, there’s no profit so you don’t need more people, and if there’s a lot of people telling the robots to make all kinds of stuff, the world will get buried in all that cast off stuff. So you need less people, to keep from turning Earth into a junk pile. That means that what you end up with is an Elite, small population of humans doing literally anything they want to do, owning anything they want to own and never paying anything for anything. That’s our future, my guess is in about 150 years from now.

I could go on about this and maybe I will later but it’s past my bedtime. So goodnight.

IT’S WAR

In what seems like a long time ago, Ernesto The Great (very famous person, but of course you know this) asked me if I thought there was going to be another Great War and I said no.

Times change and opinions change along with them, and now my answer is Yes. China is not gearing up for war as fast as they can without reason, nor is the US preparing to conquer Venezuela and Bolivia and kick China out of the Western Hemisphere for no reason, or Japan converting to a war footing that they’re calling “defensive only” to stay within their nations constitution. But they’re preparing to fight on the side of Taiwan, when China attacks Taiwan, because they and everyone else knows that if China takes Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines are next.

Russia continues to battle Ukraine, which is nearly exhausted of materiel and men, as the EU and NATO are united in refusing to allow Russia to win and intend to keep the war against Russia going. Little Israel is a major munitions manufacturer, producing top grade missiles and anti-missiles along with the worlds best air defense systems and some of the very best arms, and they’re at war in Syria and Lebanon now, along with continued fighting in Gaza.

The satellite nations that were formerly unwilling members of the Soviet Union along with those near them, like Finland, Denmark, Switzerland, Nederlands, Estonia and so on, are arming up for a fight with Russia.

Wars that Trump keeps trying to end through negotiation keep blowing back up. The latest two are Uganda and Tanzania, and Thailand and Cambodia. Trump gets them to join trade pacts and stop fighting, and a few days or a week later they’re bombing and shooting each other again.

The last two world wars began in Eastern Europe, the first one started out small and drew in neighboring nations until the world was involved, the second one started with the Germans invading Poland. I was 8 months old, by the way.

The third one stands a good chance of also beginning in Eastern Europe, thanks to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. But don’t place any bets yet because this one may start in 6 places at the same time. That it will start looks to be pretty certain. How soon? I don’t know and won’t guess.

TRUMP-A-DUMP

Less than a week after Congo and Rwanda signed a deal in Washington, and less than two months after Cambodia and Thailand signed a ceasefire pact, fighting has surged in both places.”

Trump’s peace deals that he brags about only seem to stay aloft as long as his hot air holds out to keep his windbags floating. He made loud noises about Hamas and Iran, and did go so far as to bomb Iran’s nuclear facilities, but then prevented Israel from finishing the job and bringing regime change. So of course, with the ayatollah still in power, the wars will go on.

He promised to back Israel against Hamas if Hamas didn’t agree to his peace plan, surrender and disarm within 48 hours. That was a few months ago and nothing ever happened, they never surrendered or disarmed and refuse to.

Now he’s going after Venezuela, which has the largest oil reserves in the entire world, because of the drug trafficking, he says. Why does this remind me of George W. Bush and Iraq? This isn’t about ending the drug traffic, it’s about keeping China from getting control of that oil.

Lies and more lies, Trump praises Jesus and lowers the White House flag to half staff when Charlie Kirk gets shot dead by who I assume was a government assassin, no doubt CIA, FBI, NSA or one of those secretive alphabet Killer’s Guild bureaus. He’s massively a hypocrite and a world class narcissist and I also think he’s losing it. The more I hear what he says, the crazier he sounds. He may not be US President much longer and yes, that’s a prediction. I have a strong feeling he’s not going to finish out this term.

“Absolute power corrupts absolutely”. Very few people can handle great power, most can’t handle any at all. It goes to their heads, it makes them arrogant and then they go too far. It looks to me like Trump has exceeded his limits.

DEC. 7, 1941/2025

On this day in 1941, the Japanese attacked the US Naval base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and forced us into joining World War II, first against the Japanese and shortly after, against the Germans in defense of England.

84 years have now passed and now it isn’t China we’re defending against Japan, it’s Japan we’re defending against China. No bullets are flying or bombs dropping , not yet anyway, and while alliances have changed and enemies and friends have swapped sides, the world is still behaving just as childishly as before. Only this time with even bigger, badder, more dangerous weapons.

The idea is to maintain a permanent arms race. This forces opposing nations to keep buying the latest weaponry to keep up with each other’s threat level. They don’t have peace between them because those who profit from the arms industries make sure it’s them who run the governments, and maintaining unrest keeps the people working to pay the taxes that buy the guns.

I look at Trump stopping all those small nations wars, and mostly internal wars between factions, and see no threat to the bomb makers profits because these are mostly small, poor countries that can’t afford the jet fighters and high-tech rocketry, they fight with machetes and torches. But getting them to make peace makes the US, and Trump of course, look good, even as the true arms race between the US and China continues to surge and the profits flow unabated.

And so I wonder when the test will come, and where. Will China take the big step and assault Taiwan? The US, Japan and possibly other Asian nations will come to Taiwan’s aid, this is pretty certain. The Chinese might want to test just how certain it is.

Maybe they’ll go after the Senkaku Islands held by Japan that China’s wanted for a long time and keeps threatening, or possibly commit to an all-out takeover of the Philippine fishing grounds, to test the commitment of the US to our allies. I think they’ll make some sort of actual military attack soon because between the US and China, it’s China that keeps threatening the US, not the other way around, while it’s the US that’s actually committing to military force with the new administration. First Iran and now Venezuela and this makes the US look stronger than China. All China keeps doing is threatening and while they’re working like mad to build up their military strength, their threats are empty.

This is a bad look for the Xi regime, and Xi is aging. Old Chinese leaders never have good endings and he wants to stay in power. Starting a war somewhere is a good way to do that, and why December 7 is a real good reminder of that fact.

MADURO MADNESS

In the News: Trump just told Venezuela’s Commie dictator to take his family and flee from Venezuela or he would be killed, and now we all wait with bated breath to see what happens next.

I couldn’t resist using that expression, “with bated breath”, because no one does anymore and when it rarely is used, the idiot who does so always spells it “baited” because the meaning of the word “bated” is all but lost. Bated is a shortening of the word Abated, and means Held, in the case of breath. People are holding their breath in anticipation. Bated breath.

Moving right along, the newscasters are all telling us that Trump has Venezuela “surrounded”, which is a damn neat trick considering it’s our navy that’s doing the surrounding and Venezuela is actually surrounded on all sides but one by other South American nations. The one side that isn’t faces the ocean and the US Navy ships. So a little verbal accuracy here might be in order.

Maduro bears a striking resemblance to Joseph Stalin, the Russian dictator during the second World War and some years after. Ever notice? Funny how so many of the worst dictators are all of a type. Like Italy’s Mussolini. Just pointing that out.

Anyway, I’m wondering if Mexico is next on the list after Maduro is dethroned. Trump’s been threatening to wipe out the cartels and this is all about ending the drug traffic, after all. Or SUPPOSEDLY. I say that because he’s throwing most of the US Navy at Maduro’s regime but refused to allow Israel to bring regime change to Iran, that’s spread and financed terrorism way beyond the Middle East and wants to start a nuclear war. That just isn’t right. What’s up with that?

When I was a little boy, before our family was moved to the desert by my idiot father because he wanted to be a cowboy like in the movies and life went totally to dysfunctional shit, before then when we still lived in the city, and Christmas came near like it is doing now, I would wait with bated breath for Christmas Day to see what was in those packages with my name on them, under the Christmas tree. It’s an expression, okay? You don’t really stop breathing.

Since I don’t give a tinker’s shit whether Maduro flees into exile or gets blown into a pink mist along with his wife and kids, I’m not holding my breath waiting to find out. I wouldn’t want to know in advance anyway, that would be like spoiling the movie, knowing how it ends before even watching it. However, I do hope it involves lots of explosions and body counts and devastation, those massive, mile high columns of black smoke are a real trip to see as they happen and it’s mostly over now in Gaza. I’m ready for another war.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

The reason our wonderful elected leaders keep jacking up our National Debt to seemingly impossible heights, that could never be paid off, is because they first cause massive inflation of our currency, so that the dollar is worth less.

Here’s how it works. It’s simple. Say that the Debt is One Trillion Dollars that our government owes. Okay, they then DEVALUE the dollar with inflation. Now a 50 cent candy bar costs a dollar. It takes two dollars to buy what one dollar did, just a little while ago. So the actual amount of Debt is now half a trillion in old, more valuable dollars and they can now pay it off with the new, less valuable dollars, which they’ll have plenty of because now that prices have doubled, so have tariffs and taxes and that means government income has doubled. It still just has the same buying power as before, but there’s twice as many dollars to pay the debt off with.

So instead of doing that, paying the Debt off, our amazingly wise leaders say “Look, our Debt is now only half of what it was, in real terms of what dollars are actually worth now, so now we can borrow a whole lot more and still have the same level of debt. So they do exactly that. Aren’t they smart? I mean, what the hell, they don’t actually have responsibility to pay that Debt, we do, only it never gets paid, it just keeps growing bigger and bigger, so maybe our grandchildren or their grandchildren will someday be held accountable for it. But the politicians never will. Instead they keep voting themselves bigger and bigger raises and lots more benefits as rewards for being so smart.
