“Parties worry deepfake bombshells could sow chaos before Election Day” is the headline at The Hill this morning, as AI rapidly continues to improve, become more refined and much more realistic.
Entire videos have been appearing on social media showing both Trump and Harris behaving badly, that are false, AI generated “deepfakes”, in the effort to harm public perception of the candidates.
Considering the nature of our so-called electoral process now and how corrupt and unreliable it is, I was thinking that the best way to install government officials might be to elect AI-generated “people” instead of real people, and have all the voting done by other AI-generated ones.
This way, if any fake videos are produced, no human is falsely represented, and once the election is over and AI has decided which of it’s creations have “won”, then all that’s needed is to just shut off the power to the computer and Zappo, they cease to exist and those who are actually running the country can get on with their jobs.
