THINKING OUT LOUD

UPDATE: Having slept on it, the answer is actually simple. Rather than repeat myself here, just read the new post on top.

Nothing is making sense. It was known beforehand that trying to prosecute Trump would only increase his popularity. Yet they’re doing it anyway, on felony charges that appear to be completely bogus and will fail unless the judge and jury are bought and paid for by the prosecution.

Pretty much everyone with a law degree says that the case against him is so weak that it will be thrown out on appeal if he is actually convicted, and that would make him even more popular. So why are they doing it, unless this whole circus is a plan to make him President again while looking like he’s the Great Man Who Triumphed Over Evil but is now actually part of the Globalists.

This makes no sense either, because the Globalists have gone to such extremes to make as many people hate Trump as possible. They’ve lied about him and vilified him endlessly and still are.

Acting as the Champion of the People during his term as President, he was blocked by everyone in Congress, by both parties. Assuming it would be just a repeat of the last time, why would they set him up to be President again?

The only thing I can see the Uniparty accomplishing by all this legal theater is the increased destruction of our country’s democratic system. Our economy is not harmed by any of this, it’s our freedoms that are being destroyed by an increasingly totalitarian government, and maybe that’s the real point of this prosecution of Trump, to show us that anyone who goes against the flow will suffer for it. To instill fear in us, so that we shut up, duck our heads and silently accept whatever we’re told.

Trump may be convicted of some fake felony, making him ineligible to run for President again, which is the obvious goal of this prosecution, and unable to get the conviction reversed because the courts are stacked against him. That could be. It would certainly put the last nail in America’s freedom coffin.

Or this could all be a play to re-elect him as a Globalist agent and our new Big Brother. These seem to me to be the only two possibilities.

Because what is not possible is that he will ever be President again if they don’t want him to be, and he has to know it, so why even run again? You see why it doesn’t make sense for him to run unless he thinks he can win, and he knows he can’t unless they want him to. Why would they want him to?

    NOTHING TO BRAGG ABOUT
    Cartoon Published 04/12/2023

Ohio Republican Representative Jim Jordan, the House Judiciary Chairman, is facing a lawsuit from Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan District Attorney who vowed to ‘get Trump’ and is using law-fare to do it.

Bragg claimed Jordan is ‘intimidating and attacking’ his office’s case against President Trump. The 50-page lawsuit, which was filed earlier this week, is over three times longer than the filing against Trump. Bragg’s office must have been busy. He has no time to lock up real criminals, but instead he continues to engage in a political battle against Trump and other Republicans. Apparently the Soros-backed Bragg is too busy to prosecute actual criminals. Expect crime in New York City to worsen.

The Republican-controlled House can conduct all the hearings and investigations they want. Republicans including Jordan do a lot of complaining, but nothing ever happens. Hunter Biden should be in prison by now.

Nope—he’s protected by the Deep State Swamp as is President Biden. The security agencies sent Clapper and Brennan to testify and both lied to Congress. Both got rewarded instead of prosecuted. Hillary got away with all of her crimes.

Jordan might lose the lawsuit. Trump will most likely lose in New York Kangaroo court. Don’t be surprised if they sentence Trump to a long prison term. The Marxist Bolshevik Democrats are playing hardball. They have hijacked the FBI and courts for their own ends. They want to punish all their political threats.

Meanwhile, the Republicans do nothing but complain. They complain about 80,000 armed IRS agents who will be sent out to attack the poor and middle class, but they don’t do anything to stop them. They never stopped The Patriot Act. They do nothing to stop war, the climate change scam, the tyranny of the trans movement, or other insanities. They definitely will not end the IRS or the Federal Reserve. Republicans cannot even end NPR, the Democrat’s propaganda megaphone paid for by US taxpayer money.

I expect the Republicans to continue to complain, but they will do nothing to stop Bragg and the anti-Trump judge from throwing our 45th President into the slammer.

Bill Barr: Trump Indictment An ‘Abomination’ That ‘Makes Us Look Like A Banana Republic

“This is the epitome of the abuse of the prosecutorial power to preempt political decisions and sow discord in the political process,” says a former attorney general.

Former Attorney General Bill Barr on Friday blasted Democrat District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of former President Donald Trump an “abomination.”

“Based on the news reports if they’re accurate, this is an abomination,” Barr said Friday on Fox Business. “It’s the epitome of the abuse of prosecutorial power to bring a case that would not be brought against anyone else. They are going after the man, not a crime. And the legal theory, frankly, is pathetically weak.”

“The case is held together [by] paper clips and rubber bands. It’s a lousy case, and it’s a shame. It’s a shameful episode in our history where this local prosecutor is trying to affect the political process by bringing this case.”

Barr, who was nominated by Trump to once again serve as attorney general in 2018, called the indictment of a former president and presidential candidate the “epitome of the abuse of prosecutorial power.”

Barr, who was nominated by Trump to once again serve as attorney general in 2018, called the indictment of a former president and presidential candidate the “epitome of the abuse of prosecutorial power.”

TRENDING: WHY ARE TRADITIONAL CHRISTIANS UNDER ATTACK?

“This is the epitome of the abuse of the prosecutorial power to preempt political decisions and sow discord in the political process,” Barr said. “And I think it’s going you know, we’re going to rue the day we crossed this Rubicon. There’ll be more and more of this and you know, just doesn’t end well. It doesn’t end well.”

“It makes us look like a banana republic. And it should,” he continued. “Now this is New York State and New York State has been acting like a banana republic. They had that civil lawsuit against Trump and his children. That civil lawsuit brought by the state attorney general that was a political hit job as well. This ratchets that up because it’s a criminal case. And, you know, these cases together to me, mean the breakdown of the rule of law in New York State.”

Barr also took apart Bragg’s legal rationale for Trump’s indictment, arguing that the falsifying business records claim is invalid, as well as the Bragg’s interpretation of the statute of limitations.

    Barr explained:

“[T]he statute actually requires that it be done with the intent to defraud. So if you have false business records, you know, and you’re committing insurance fraud or some other kind of fraud where some value is taken from somebody else and you falsely get value in your own name, then the false records would be a misdemeanor. But I don’t understand the basis for a fraud claim here.

Then they take this misdemeanor, which also has a problem with the statute of limitations. And they tried to shoehorn it into a into a felony by claiming that the reason the the documents were falsified was to cover up another crime. In this case, they’re assuming that the payments were campaign finance violation because they were effectively a contribution to the Trump campaign. I can tell you that’s not the law. I don’t think that’s how the Justice Department would view it.

It wasn’t brought by the Justice Department during the Trump administration. But even after the Trump administration left there was no inhibition on the Department of Justice to bring this federal claim if they thought it was valid, and it was never brought. So aside from that, I think it’s quite clear under the law, that payment — I’m going to call it hush money — I don’t like that term, but payments of hush monies to keep, you know, affairs or other things like that secret are not inherently unlawful.”

“The question under the statute is was it a campaign contribution? I think the law is quite clear. It is not,” he added.

Trump is scheduled to be arraigned at a Manhattan courthouse on Tuesday, and will reportedly deliver remarks to the American people afterward.
