NOT SO SMART

New TV sets aren’t like the old ones, with big picture tubes, a short range of channels and weighing a hundred pounds. Now they’re light weight, there’s 1000 channels, the screens are much larger and they’re SMART. They have High Definition, Blue Ray (whatever that is), connect to the Internet and cell phones and other things.

I shopped for a new TV yesterday on Amazon, Walmart and other online venues with an eye toward getting a Roku set, and in the process learned that there’s a lot I don’t know. Among the various facets of my TV ignorance were the facts that Smart didn’t mean the TV has a computer in it, Smart means it connects to the Internet, and that you don’t have to buy a Roku set to have Roku, neither do you need a Smart TV to have it. All you need to make your TV a Smart one is an Amazon Firestick. Plug it into the back of the set and you’re good to go.

On discovering this, and having a Firestick in my current TV, it was easy to bring up the Roku app and load it. It then gave me a web address and a code to enter on that web page, so I did that on my computer, added a password, email address and user name and that’s that, I now have Roku, no fees, no sweat, no new Roku TV.

Another thing I learned in my online TV enlightenment is that the FBI says that Smart TVs are a Bad Thing, because, being connected to the Internet, they leave the owner open to scams and hacking. People can access your TV, post messages, direct it to scam websites, so forth and etcetera. Apparently this can’t happen if you use a Firestick because while it does connect to the Internet, you can’t use it as a web browser. You only connect directly to the entertainment or news provider that you select. At least that’s my take on it. In this way, your chance of landing on a malicious site is pretty much zero. With web surfing, you take your chances.

Ah, but if your TV is Smart, you can not only connect to all your other Smart appliances, but hackers can too and once they’re in, you’ve got problems.

I can see where having a Smart TV would have advantages for those who are fully immersed in an Online existence and can’t live for 5 minutes without their Smart Phone clutched tightly by their side, but I’m not one of those. When I was heavily into real estate, yeah, I kept my cell phone handy, but these days it sits on top of the dresser, turned off, and it only goes with me on town trips, still off. Just in case some sort of special need to call someone arises. The last thing I want in my life is to be at the beck and call of the world 24 hours a day.

I think that’s pretty smart of me.

EPIGENETICS

The new buzzword, Epigenetics. Scammers are swarming all over it, because what it is, is the new science of reversing the aging process, and it’s actually real.

So far, experimentation has been confined to rodents and other mammals, and if what I read is true, scientists involved in this have been successful in reversing these critters physical age and it may not be long before this can be applied to us humans.

So in a world with an expanding human population of over 8 billion now, that’s just what we need, the means to extend everyone’s life for another 100 years or even more. Uhh, NO.

It would be wonderful to live hundreds of healthy years, but this can only be possible if our population is dramatically reduced first. Then the next obvious problem is keeping it reduced, which would have to mean a dramatic decrease in the birth rate. The longer we all live, the more people there are.

China practiced government control of the birth rate for awhile and it was pretty successful because of the extremely strict measures that were used to enforce it. Once our population is reduced to a reasonable level again, maintaining it will likely be strictly enforced. We’ve had birth control pills for over 50 years, there’s no reason not to control growth.

No doubt we will be able to reset our biological clocks soon, but the chance of this being made available to the general public is zero unless people are willing to not have children. At that, it seems unlikely that a Globalist government would allow criminals, the stupid, etc. to enjoy extended lifespans. People would have to be valued contributors, not “useless eaters”.

So unless you’re rich right now, and fairly young, I wouldn’t plan on getting in on this.

IT’S A BLACK THING

When rich white people pledge a donation to some cause, it’s their own money that they’re pledging to give, and they follow through and give it.

Oprah Winfrey has $3.5 billion and pledged a gift of $10 million to the Oahu fire survivors. Then she went on television asking viewers to donate to her charity, to raise $10 million for Oahu. That’s right, this stingy pile of black crap had no intention of giving HER money to those people, she just wanted to make it look like she was so she’d appear to be a generous, wonderful person.

This person, in my opinion, is a greedy, selfish, lying racist bitch. Wait, I forgot disgusting.

JAPAN PREPARES

Japan is rapidly expanding their military, building new warships and guided missiles, and the reasons given are increased threats from China and North Korea. That’s true, but only partly.

When World War II ended and Japan surrendered, they drew up a new constitution forbidding them from ever going to war as an act of conquest again. It does not prevent them from having a defensive force, however, and we made a pact to protect them in the future, which is why we still have a big military base on the island of Okinawa.

But with the Obama-run cabal now busily destroying our economy and degrading our military capability, Japan is rushing to restore their own. That’s the other part of the truth.

Japan is a fiercely nationalist country that is finding itself allied to a fading conqueror for protection, and I can’t help wondering if birds of a feather will eventually flock together, to paraphrase an old saying. The Japanese are Chinese in origin, Globalism is on the march, and it’s getting pretty hard to tell which side the USA is on now, East or West.

I can see a possibility of the Japanese abandoning us and joining with China and Russia. They have mutual territorial disputes so they’d need to iron out those disagreements, but if Japan can build up a really dangerous military first, they should have no problem at the bargaining table.

The Japanese are a treacherous, savage people who have always called Westerners “barbarians” while in truth they’re far more barbarous. Just read about the “Rape of Nanking” and what they did to prisoners of war, if you doubt that. They’re the ones who launched the sneak attack on Pearl Harbor and killed about 3000 mostly sailors and airmen in a blatant act of treachery. They would do it again. They would be happy to turn against their conquerors. Of course.

Make no mistake, it’s the East against the West in the battle for Globalist supremacy. Take nothing for granted including alliances as they’ll change as the winds of war do. Everyone wants to be on the winning side.

I’ll leave you with this last thought. Japan has the world’s largest supply of weapons grade Plutonium. They bought almost all of Russia’s supply when the Soviet Union collapsed. They had a “space exploration” venture that developed rockets that put satellites into orbit, rockets also easily capable of delivering atomic bombs anywhere in the world. Now they’re expanding their missile building. If you don’t think they have nuclear weapons, think again.

WHAT DEW YOU MEAN BY THAT?

DEW, Directed Energy Weapons, are the latest conspiracy rave and fave, but I’m not buying that anyone, any government agency, is using them to burn down towns. Yes, the title is a pun.

I saw a blurt on a news aggregator yesterday that claimed Lahaina, in Oahu, Paradise, in California, the fire in San Diego and a bunch of others were all deliberately caused by some sinister government agency using Directed Energy Weapons.

Every one of these fires started in a dry area where fuel was plentiful. I know people who lived in Paradise when that one started and I’m pretty familiar with the conditions that caused it. I’ve been there. It was a firetrap. So was where the San Diego fire started and the others.

In Lahaina, the telephone poles were rotted and the poles leaned, and rocked back and forth when the wind blew. Some other misinformed person said the electricity had been turned off 6 hours before the fire started, without any verification, so why did residents say they saw sparks when the poles fell?

I lived in the deep woods for 23 years and was always conscious that if a fire got going in the summer when it was hot, it could kill everyone. Then add a strong wind and it’s all over, baby. Everything in the path of that wind will burn and the fire just keeps getting hotter until it runs out of fuel. Cars will partially melt, enough to badly warp the metal.

When we move into the mountains and the forests to build communities “surrounded by Nature”, we’re setting ourselves up for disaster. When we live in cities of close packed wood houses it’s the same thing. If enough of them catch fire in a strong wind, everything downwind will burn. Once a fire is hot enough and moving fast enough, nothing will stop it until it runs out of fuel.

Many of us are increasingly seeing our government as being evil and insidious, and with good reason, because it is and is becoming more so. But it’s not burning down small communities, not yet anyway. Many are pointing to the local government fencing off Lahaina, blocking drones from flying over and so forth as evidence it was deliberately set. Government does this to keep out looters. Besides, they don’t want it known how many really died. The lawsuits are coming next, don’t forget. They did the same thing in Paradise, and lied about the number of fatalities. Right now, after 3 weeks, 385 people are still missing from Lahaina and should be presumed dead. Add that to the 115 claimed and you have an even 500 dead.

The longer they can take to prevent the real death total from coming out, the longer they can keep the media away from the scene, and let the news story turn cold. Because ultimately, the real blame for these disasters falls not on the people who live there but on those who are responsible for keeping them safe.

THE LOST WORLD

Imagine a world where no one has a cell phone and nobody wants one. A world without computers, a world where you can buy a brand new, ranch style home in a nice neighborhood for under $30,000 and a good used car for $100.

A world without homeless people, or a global homosexual agenda, or lockdowns.

The comparison between the Quality of Life in 1973 and today, 50 years later, is stark.

50 years goes by in a flash when you’re living it and it’s like yesterday to me, so when I look at how things were to how they are now, it’s like stepping back into the Age of Dinosaurs. Life was so much better then. There was almost no pollution, everything was cheaper, cars, gas, homes, food, everything, in comparison to wages. Inflation crept along instead of soaring to new daily heights, so it made sense to have savings accounts in banks.

We were a lot happier. We felt secure in our futures. Jobs were plentiful, opportunity was everywhere, and living was really, really good.

That was then and I’m glad I lived it.

The big changes we’ve seen, especially in the last ten years, are only a warning sign, like a rising wind or a whiff of smoke in the air, of the dramatically different new world that’s coming.

It’s like building a tower with bricks but no mortar. If the base is level, the tower can get pretty tall but the higher it’s built, the more unstable it gets, until it’s so high that it finally collapses of itself into a heap of junk.

I know this is going to happen soon, not the end of civilization or of government but the end of how everything is done, of how we live and are governed. We won’t have to wait much longer to find out.
