Are you paying attention? It’s nearly June and the Strait of Hormuz is still closed. Oil is now being pumped across Saudi Arabia from where it normally loads, and over to their Red Sea port. Since this is only a pair of pipes of moderate size, they can’t handle the 25 million barrels a day (MPD) that’s produced and normally shipped out of the Strait. Five to six MPD is their current limit. Work is ongoing to expand this to ten MPD but when completed that’s still 15 MPD short of what the world needs.
US and Venezuela oil production is already maxed out. The sudden loss of about 15 million barrels of oil a day to the world economy is a tremendous shock and the waves from it are only starting. It’s going to be a tsunami. A massive number of common products are produced from oil. Almost all plastics, fuel including gasoline and diesel fuel, road surfacing, fertilizers, insecticides, medicines, aircraft and auto parts, clothing fabrics. It’s endless. The shortfall has increased the cost of everything. The poor are fast becoming poorer. And hungrier.
Trump keeps saying that he’s in no rush to get a deal with Iran because of the US blockade, that Iran will have to relent eventually or their economy will collapse. Oh, no doubt, eventually it will, along with the economies of many other nations. Not the US, of course, being the world’s largest oil producer at over 13 MPD, or the Saudis, now that all of the other M.E. oil producers are totally reliant on that Saudi pipeline to sell any oil at all. We and the Saudis will be just fine, those of us who are financially sound. The rest of the population, not so fine. But hey, no rush, says Trump.
Piper Sandler, one of the worlds oldest, at about 150 years, and largest investment banks, says that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed for months yet. Because Trump. So, Question: If Trump is such a great conservative hero protecting Christian values of the world, why did he arrange for the Strait to be closed and is allowing it to remain closed when this will result in millions of deaths through starvation in the poorest nations? Because he’s not what he’s presented as? Because he’s part of a Globalist cabal?
The world no longer runs entirely on oil now that there’s solar and nuclear power plants, but there’s so many more people than there were and so much less oil being shipped now. Just a few more weeks and the planting season in the Southern Hemisphere will be over with, and the Super El Nino fully upon us.

Of course, with decades of efforts to control the weather on the parts of China, Russia, the USA and whoever else felt like trying it, this Super El Nino may not be all Mother Nature’s doing.
