This ridiculously self-righteous guy in the fancy robe is Pope Leo and he just excommunicated six Catholic bishops who gave him the finger, religiously speaking. The six outlawed bishops represent the SSPX, whatever that is, which is described as “ultra-conservative” and has grown into a global movement with an estimated 600,000 adherents. It operates seminaries, schools, retreat centers and hundreds of chapels worldwide, according to this article in CBS News.

The breach is over those six bishops consecrating, aka promoting, four guys they like to be bishops like them, without the approval of the guy in the picture above, Leo.
So it looks like Leo just managed to create a brand new offshoot of Catholicism, since his hopes that the six he gave the boot to will come crawling back begging for his forgiveness are unlikely to be realized. I mean, those six guys, now ten guys, all bishops, which is like being a US general with the Pope as President, have an army of 600,000 and massive infrastructure, and nothing to stop them from declaring Pope Leo the Communist to be a False Pope and electing one among them as the New and Correct Pope.
Not that they will, but they could. Has Leo forgotten Martin Luther, who started Protestantism? The Pope back then excommunicated Martin for speaking out about all the bullshit coming from the Pope and his church and now we have Protestant churches and Lutheran churches, among the many names and branches of Christianity since that stupid Pope excommunicated Martin Luther, who started all this as a result, and I bet Luther didn’t start off with 600,000 followers, hundreds of chapels and etc. after being excommunicated.
There’s not one religion based on truth, fact and reality. They’re all collections of hearsay, hallucinations and lies and if this latest church schism becomes permanent and a new movement, I really don’t give a shit, I’m just reporting it from my point of view. I do hope these “ultra conservatives” aren’t a bunch of buttfuckers like their brethren in the Main Church. The last thing we need is another bunch of kiddie diddlers under a new name.
On religious frauds, I live just a few miles from Saint Hill Manor where Ron Hubbard lived and founded the UK centre of Scientology. Even closer is Wickenden Manor, a centre for Opus Dei that was visited by a “Saint” who some say has Nazi leanings.

Quite agree. So many religions and different sects within each of them telling us different stories. Which one is correct? Most logical conclusion is that none of them are. Surely an almighty god would do a better job of conveying his message to us than scattering messiahs and prophets all over the world throughout history, all telling us different things. Most recent “messiahs” like Ron Hubbard and Adam Smith have been labelled as frauds, daresay the earlier ones were no different, setting up religions to service their own interests.
Speaking just for myself, there is something that to me best resembles “The Force” in those Star Wars movies. But it’s not a god, maybe it’s Collective Consciousness, I don’t know and maybe I’m just deluded. I have to have personal experience of a thing, I’m just not a believer type. Like standing in the middle of a rainbow, it’s supposed to be impossible but it’s actually not, you can Google that, and I’m one of the few lucky people alive who did it once. Being surrounded by a glowing prism of all colors of light is a pretty amazing experience. Nature has amazing surprises and it’s not hard to see why a non-technical person who believed in spirits would think that a god did it, and start a religion.
