Too prophetic. Wrote the stuff below and posted it at about 11 AM. At noon someone was pounding on my door, ” there’s a FIRE behind your back fence.” Ran out and sure enough, the grass, the trees, the vacant home next door and my backyard fence between the two were all burning, and the flames were up to the top of the nearest TALL trees. I grabbed the garden hose, turned on the water and started spraying the fire and was able to stop the grass nearest me from burning, and put out most of the wood fence. Then turned my attention to the right where the grass fire was nearing my workshop and started hosing that when some sheriff deputies showed up on my deck alongside the house and told me I had to evacuate. I refused as I nearly had it licked and if I left then, I’d not only lose the workshop and about $150,000 worth of stuff, but it would envelop my home as well and there was no time to grab anything. I finally got the deputies to give up and leave while the fire I’d had to leave untended was starting to burn the shop. I was able to get that put out before it was too late to stop, even as the water pressure was dropping because everyone around had a hose of their own going by this time. The pressure finally dropped to near zero so I ran into the house, grabbed two gallons of water I kept in the kitchen, for Just In Case, ran with them back to the back of the shop and doused the rest of the flames with that. By this time the firemen are all showing up and hosing down the burning trees and house next door, which was totally demolished, by the way. Possibly a dozen big fire trucks and other county vehicles arrived along with about 60 firefighters and a power company truck with a bucket arm to deal with a burned down power line, all in the space of a few minutes. It was very impressive
Just yesterday I was looking at that big field of tall, very dry grass behind my property and wishing it weren’t there. Today I got my wish, it’s all gone, nothing left of it but black ash and I now have a fire buffer around my home. not a great one but at least that area is no longer a threat for this year.

Burning down the house. A song by Talking Heads, playing on my PC now as I type this, for the inspiration. The House in this case is the Middle East oil economy.
Yesterday the Houthis in Yemen, whatever the hell a “Houthi” is, proudly announced that using a precision drone, they’d set fire to Saudi Arabia’s most Hormuz-Strait-proof Jazan Refinery, specifically built to ship oil from other than the Hormuz Strait to give Saudi Arabia some independence from it. This is right on the heels of a new NATO style joint defense pact the Saudi’s signed with Turkey and Pakistan in Mecca, declaring that an attack on one of them is an attack on all of them.
Now we wait and see if this pact has any teeth, I guess, and they all attack the Yemen Houthis. Or not. But this post isn’t about this attack or it’s outcome. It’s about the steady and inevitable disintegration of the Middle East oil economy that has held the world hostage for the better part of a century, that I pointed out in past posts is the real goal of those in the current US administration.
The US attacked Iran enough to nearly destroy their economy and now maintains that level of pressure through a blockade of their oil sales. The prevention of Iran from becoming another nuclear armed power is real, but the real goal is to keep their oil off the market along with as much of the rest of the Middle East as possible, without making it too obvious that shutting down M.E. oil production is the purpose of firing up this spreading war.
This is why Regime Change in Iran has never been Trump’s priority. If the regime becomes peaceful again, there will be no spreading Middle East war over Iran.
It’s not difficult to do this considering the volatility of all the different Islamic factions that keep springing up. They’re like the Greek Seven Headed Hydra, kill one and two new ones take it’s place. Violence is innate and endemic to Islam and easy to game.
Word has “leaked” that the US has used up most of it’s inventory of bombs and rockets, explaining why the attacks on Iran stopped. Lies, lies, it’s all lies. This gives incentive to Iran and their proxies to attack surrounding nations to force them to surrender Hormuz control to Iran, which would, of course, give Iran great economic power in the world and make Iran the top Middle East power instead of Saudi Arabia. This is exactly why the US really stopped the attacks. To get them all fighting each other. There’s no shortage of munitions, it’s misinformation. Look at the massive bombardment of Iraq compared to what was done in Iran, look at the sustained effort of the USA in WW2. In No. Korea. In Vietnam. The stuff used up in Iran is nothing. And HINT, all those who backed up this BS story are in on the plan.
The US and the Saudis had an agreement begun in 1974 that the US would militarily protect Saudi Arabia and the Saudis would sell oil ONLY in US dollars. Most of the M.E. oil producers followed suit. Thus we had Petrodollars, keeping the Dollar the strongest coinage in the world. Two years ago they broke that agreement and have been selling in Yuan and other coinage, which has damaged the value of the Dollar and the credit rating of the USA, and now the Saudis are about to find themselves finally fighting on their own behalf for a change. Karma’s a bitch.
This is why the USA is involved in Iran, this is why the Strait of Hormuz is shut down, to wreck the Middle East economy and start them all fighting among themselves. This is why we finally ousted the Venezuelan dictator Maduro and put the fear of God in the new regime, and returned the oil fields back to the American companies they were originally leased to. Between the USA and Venezuela, we can easily supply the world’s oil needs, with better quality oil than the M.E.’s and at lower prices. Russia can fill China’s needs and is doing so now, so there’s no conflict there.
And in the long term, this is about global government, which looks like it’s going to be whatever grows out of US and allies and China. China keeps rattling sabers and making threats but I just don’t get the impression that they really want war with us or anybody, what they want is to simply keep expanding in influence. Which is exactly what the USA is doing and possibly with more success.
We the public are bombarded with politics and political news and the only time we hear about much else is about football and basketball games, Hollywood stars and catastrophes. We never hear what’s really going on in the world that actually MATTERS. Everything is filtered, which is why I’m telling you about this. Newsbleat to the rescue.
If you stop and look, most of the stuff you own was made in China. The Chinese heard America, The Great Consumer, scream about the crappy quality of Chinese goods and the Chinese responded with greatly improved quality. You don’t hear the cry to bring back Made In USA any more even though a lot of products are. Like armaments. We make some of the world’s best and have a lot of customers who are happy to spend their nation’s treasure on guns and bombs, and we’re getting our shipbuilders up and running again. War is always wonderful for profit and when all those little nations have spent all their money and are deeply in debt to us over their stupid wars, that’s when we move in. Just exactly like the Chinese. It’s all about the profit, which is why we buy so much from the Chinese that they lack and they buy so much from us, and why THE ECONOMY and those running it is the real government of the world.
