When the Trump administration made Israelis accept a cease-fire with Hamas just when they were on the verge of final victory, this naturally didn’t set real well with them. One of the many odious terms of this forced “agreement” that Israel never authored, endorsed or sanctioned was them being restricted to control of only 53% of the Gaza Strip. This allowed Hamas lots of room to dig out and repair tunnels and re-establish control over food supplies, and prepare more terror attacks against Israel. It snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Netanyahu recently said that Israel should start distancing itself from military dependence on the US. To me, that was a big red flag that the Israelis have had enough dictation from Trump’s regime. Israel has long been dependent on the USA, America’s support has been vital in staying alive as a nation but there’s always been a stiff price for that, too.
The problem has always been that they’ve been a pawn of both the US and the Middle East Muslims, being forced to give up “land for peace” and tear down settlements in Samaria an Judea, with the constant pressure for decades to succumb to a “2-state solution” to give away half of their tiny nation to form a terrorist state right in the middle of it. This is because of the Middle East oil producer’s clout in the world economy and the closing of the Strait of Hormuz may have just put an end to that.
The domination of Israel may be done with, as Israel’s been steadily expanding on that 53% to over 64% now and Netanyahu has openly stated now that Israel is moving toward 70% control of the Strip, as a baseline. In other words, they’re not stopping there and may be going for total control.
The cease-fire with Hamas hasn’t worked. One of the first demands for it to happen was that Hamas surrender their weapons and they have not and refuse to. Israel rightly sees this as a violation that negates the cease-fire agreement. The US is obligated to aid and assist Israel in renewing the war against Hamas because of this and instead has pressured them to do nothing while Hamas grows stronger again. No wonder Israel is taking out Hamas people wherever they find them and taking control back once again in spite of US objections.
As usual, everything going on in this region is tied together with a big bow. The shutdown of the Strait of Hormuz and the blockade of Iran has devastated M.E. oil production, as they’re out of oil storage space and have had to shut down most of their wells. Iran will run out of space in about two weeks and it takes 30 to 45 days on average for a one-way trip of a super tanker to reach port and unload, another long trip back for more, so at least two and a half months per round trip. Iran will have shut down their wells long before then.
Shutting down most oil wells severely damages or ruins them, makes them unusable thereafter or nearly so. Once the blockade is lifted and the Strait is open, if all I read is true, the Middle East will never return to its previous share of the world oil market and will have ceased to be the big guy on the block. That position is now occupied by the USA, which is the world’s largest producer of oil, and their new partner with their vast reserves, Venezuela.
And there it is, another major building block in the New World Order.
