Nothing horrible happened in human history today that the Main Stream Media feels compelled to tell us all about. No holocausts, no natural or man-made disasters, no mass killings, exploded volcanoes, whole villages wiped out by mudslides or cities leveled by earthquakes or thousands dead from a tsunami or hurricane or disease plague. No airliners lost at sea or passenger ships sunk. No ecological disasters, massive oil spills, or forest fires to remind us of, or big enough now to alarm us.
The riots continue in France but that’s not news, the Muslims have been burning cars by the thousands for years now, over there. The war in Ukraine continues, ho hum. Iran is down to encouraging their proxies to fight for them but only the Houthis are still at it with any vigor. The Russians are still making dire threats of nuking the world, and no one cares because they’ve been doing that forever.
Nothing is happening. Isn’t that wonderful? The Talking Heads were right. “Heaven is a place where nothing ever happens”. Peace for a day. No shit. The silence is almost deafening, but no less Golden for it.
