Reading an article this morning where a researcher used AI to verify the existence of Christianity’s Jesus, there was a short line referring to the supposed “Resurrection”, and a thought came to me that if enough people testified that they saw him after he was crucified, then perhaps he survived the crucifixion.
So I asked Google AI and this is the reply: “Christian apologists and scholars calculate that the total number of distinct individuals who saw Jesus across various private and public settings is over 515 people, pointing out that Paul invited skeptics to check with the living. 515 OR MORE people saw him alive after his body disappeared from the tomb he was placed in.
Not in any court of law today could you convict a man of murder after over 515 people swore that they saw the supposed victim after he was supposedly killed. He didn’t just evaporate from that tomb, either he was carried out or he walked out on his own. I vote for the latter because he was seen walking by over 515 people! Separately and in groups. How do you fake that in the year 36 AD or whatever it was?
The only realistic answer to this is that he wasn’t crucified, it was someone else on the cross that looked a lot like him but was too bloodied up to tell the difference. Lashed, a crown of thorns, blood smeared all over his face would have been enough to do it. I wonder how many Jesus fanatics would have willingly died for him? Afterward the body is stolen from the tomb so no one will know it wasn’t him, besides, you can’t have a dead body and a live Jesus at the same time.
Jesus had some rich women who funded him. How rich he was is unknown but he had backing and certainly everyone saw what was coming down. The whole crucifixion and resurrection thing sounds scripted. It’s a very simple plot, not much to put together. Backed by wealthy people of influence, and politics will always be politics, he agrees to retire to France or somewhere far away and stop preaching and the Romans get to take over the religion that’s replaced their gods and their priests and start making money again.
I’d take that deal. I think he did, too.
