I just can’t get used to it. I’ve been seeing it in print and hearing it on the TV for years now and I still JUST CAN’T GET USED TO IT. I’m talking about reading or hearing about some wife’s wife or some husband’s husband.
When are we going to start allowing marriages between humans and animals? Isn’t that next? The original purpose of marriage wasn’t only to establish a relationship that was expected to be fully respected in virtually any society, it also made it clear who’s children were whose, established parental rights and succession of inheritance. Marriage was not just about the claim two people might have on each other, it was vital in establishing parentage and for the protection of offspring.
A civil partnership between two homosexual people is fully adequate to protect their mutual rights without destroying the true meaning of the institution of marriage by a society legally allowing homosexuals to marry as if they were normal.
Any behavior can be legalized. Making it legal for people to represent themselves as horses or frogs doesn’t make it real. They can never actually be a horse or frog, it’s a fantasy, but any fantasy can be legalized. Right now, men are being legally accepted as being women after being born male, and vice versa and we are all expected to act as if those men really are women now simply because they say so.
Does anyone see any difference between this insanity and homosexual marriages? Because I don’t.
