Putin and Trump just made a deal for Russia to supply the US with lots of diesel fuel. I assume that it’s an exchange of dollars for it and not some sort of strategic material, although the dollars can be converted to bombs pretty easily for a country like Russia, that is bombing Ukraine, the same country we’ve been helping to fight Russia. Are you confused yet?
This is a good time to point out that Ukraine is actively attacking Russia’s refineries and to ask, why aren’t our own refineries producing all the diesel fuel we need since we’re the world’s largest oil producer now? Fair question, huh? They always have before. We don’t import gasoline, with all the cars on the roads on America, we refine all we need. Oil refineries don’t just produce one thing, they do it all. All the grades of motor oils, greases, fuels, tar and asphalt for the roads and roofing shingles, the chemicals, everything.
So why are we buying diesel from Russia because we don’t have enough for our trucking industry? I mean, Russia? What the hell is going on?
What’s going on is that the war in Ukraine was instigated by the US as a way of making huge profits while getting rid of old munitions, thereby creating the need to produce new, more modern munitions to replace the old ones at a huge profit. This is a highly successful operation, as Ukraine has become the go-to proving ground for new and innovative weaponry.
The Ukrainians have been successful at attacking Russian refineries and also at destroying all their battle tanks, which use diesel, and now the Russians don’t need nearly as much diesel as they did, so even with some refineries damaged they’re producing more than they need. So why not sell it to the US? After all, Russia needs more money to fight the war in Ukraine with. Oh, you thought Ukraine was a US ally? Noooo, there’s no allies in the world, there’s only agreements and arrangements and you can bet we’re getting a helluva good price on that diesel.
The de-facto government in Iran now is the IRGC and if they fall apart, the people will rip them to shreds and they know it, which is why they’re still trying to put an A-Bomb together instead of coming to the peace table. Surrender means death for them, only a nuke to threaten with can save them now.
The Saudis and OPEC won’t invade Iran, they want us and Israel to do all the fighting and dying and spending money, which is why we won’t help them fight the Houthis anymore. We kept asking, they kept declining, so screw ’em, we have the Venezuelan oil fields again and now we have access to all the minerals in Greenland. The IRGC will have to be toppled, and I have a little prediction for you in this regard:
Turkey is going to invade Iran after Israel bombs hell out of it, and any other middle east nation that thinks it can carve off a piece will give it a shot as well. The only thing I can see preventing this melee is if the leaders of the IRGC flee to some other Shiite Muslim nation that will give them sanctuary, before the motley horde pours in, in which case the US and Israel would tell everyone else to stay out, and enforce that dictum.
Can you imagine 3 or 4 different Islamic armies trying to divide up Iran without a fight? I’m not so sure that a major Middle East war is in the general plan, so this is going to be interesting to be an onlooking bystander of.
