The things we can do when we’re the richest person in the world. Like build a car that looks like that weird all-angles Cyber-truck pickup truck, make it a sleek roadster, and have it drive up a ramp that curves upside down, it sticks to the ramp upside down, drives off the end, does a midair flip and lands on its wheels with jet assist. Did I mention it goes from zero to 60 mph in less than one second? Leap over a row of cars and trucks?
Yeah, I don’t even want to know what it would cost, no sense asking pointless questions, Elon said he’d sell them by invitation only, anyway. My guess is well in excess of $1 million. He plans to sell the roadsters without all the jets for a “$50,000 deposit”, which is what people plunked down before for the roadsters that were never built. With that level of deposit, god only knows what the full price is.
Cost of his cars isn’t the point here, really. The point is watching that thing go through it’s tricks and it hits you that this guy can get anything done that he imagines. What’s next? I mean, really, what’s next?
